cumsymumsy's Trial-Mod Application

Recommended Posts

a1) My RPname is "cumsymumsy"

a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile.

a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234)

a4) CST (central standard time)

a5) I currently have 3 warns. If anything, this shows insider knowledge into the mind of a player, which shows me how to best deal with them.

a6) I have previously been banned for something i did not do. that was near a year ago I genuinely don't remember what it was for. I just remember leaving the server for about a year because they wouldn't accept my ban appeal. (the ban was only like a week)

a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where?

I do, on an old server called "ReaperRP" around a year and a half ago. Sadly, it got shut down because the owner, a good friend of mine, couldn't afford to keep it up.

Please answer these questions with your honest opinion.
b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP?

I would love to volunteer for XenoRP because it would allow me to work for something bigger than myself. Everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves deep down inside, and this gives me that oppertunity. Also, i want to help Xeno get back on it's feet. Ive noticed a small amount of people on the server recently, and i want to help.

b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator?

My willingness to learn, and eagerness to help make the server a better place for players and staff alike.

Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions:

c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished.

RDM (random death match) is a serious offense in the DarkRP industry, as well as RDA (random arrest). RDM does hold a slightly higher weight than RDA, however they are treated alike in many scenarios. Generally, these players would be given vocal warnings, just in case they legitimately didn't know, and told to read the !MOTD. Next, they would be given warns through AWarn3. If they willingly continue to perform these actions, they will be banned from the server.

c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated.

NLR, also known as "new life rule" is a rule that states that once a player dies during roleplay, they are required to stay away from that immediate area, building, raid, or activity for exactly 2 minutes, or until the activity is over. This allows the roleplay to be more immersive and realistic for both parties. For example, if i get killed as a police officer during a PD raid, i am required to stay out of the PD building for 2 minutes, or until the raid is over. If i do go into the building, or interfere with their raid, i am violating NLR.

c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence.

In essence, metagaming is when one player uses OOC or some sort of out of character venue to convey in character information. For example, if someone sees someone else doing illegal things, then tells a police officer via OOC chat, the police officer cannot act on this information, because his character technically did not gain this knowledge.. I hope i explained that well enough.

Please explain how you would handle each of these situations:
d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react?

My initial reaction would be to at least try to get the staff member to stop. It's better if i can get the admin to stop now than to wait for it to go up the chain of command. If that does not work, i would notify the highest staff members, and the owner. Next i would report them on the forums. At this point, this is about all one can do.

d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation?

This one isn't as difficult as it seems. It's as easy as jail the person mass rdming, and deal with him after the sit is over. If you cannot do this, freeze both parties in the sit, and go grab the suspected mass rdmer, and deal with him quickly, most likely a ban. Then return back to the initial sit.

d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets.

In all honesty, with only two players online, you can let this happen. As long as the building doesn't interfere with ANYONE and their experience, it is perfectly fine to let this activity happen. If the building begins to become even the slightest problem, however, it is definitely time to head over there with a remove tool, and tell them to stop.

+/- Neutral

-Good application and good grammar.

-Good answers to questions.

-Personally i've never seen you on the server before

-For d3 a rule is a rule, even though there are only 2 people including you, you should still tell them to not build on the road as they can use this as a excuse later on to break a rule.

-My advice is to become more active for the rest of the week (I know server is kinda dead atm) but you can become more active in discord and on the server so show you can be active as a player and a mod.

Good Luck!
