Lets start off with a few words before I begin filling out the proper application. For those who don't know me: Hey, I'm Dergy. I'm pretty much the average 16 year old, I'd like to address probably the first problem you will have with this application "Who is this dude?" Well, I'm someone who used to play a large sum on Xeno, I know that doesn't entitle me to anything I'd just like to say that to say that I'm not someone who just joined randomly. I'm on daily as of a few days ago, so if you don't know me I'd be glad to talk you, either on the server or through discord. Feel free to reach out to me. For those who know me: Hey, it's nice to see all of you again. Lets address something I know will come across your mind "You're just going to leave again" And I can't say that there isn't merit to the sentence. But I truly don't plan to leave anytime soon unless something large happens in my life; I've taken over a year off of the whole staffing thing with Xeno to give myself time to grow and become more responsible, to ensure I have the dedication to actually stick with the team for a time over 2-3 months. a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Dergy a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198142095387 a3) What is your Discord Tag? Five#9144 (Feel free to message me at any time) a4) What timezone are you located in? EST a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 0 a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? I have not been banned according to the system as of late. Although I know for a fact around 2+ years ago I was banned for mass RDM, although I have no recollection of that ban, I only remember it due to applying for staff in the past a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Xeno RP (A few times) Shadow networks - Server Manager l Reborn Gaming - Mod, also S-GM at one point. ZD RP- Mod Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? My reasons aren't all too unique, but I love the community of Xeno and have been part of the staff team multiple times. It's always a fun experience to help to improve the experience for all of the players of XenoRP and to get to have a higher impact on the community and to get to know the staff team more in depth. I've been on Xeno for a long time, it's not quite applicable for me to leave for another DarkRP server as it feels like a home to me at this point, and I'd like to let other people share this sense of a bond with the server that I have developed, which wouldn't have been possible with a staff team that was kind and enforcing the rules; Although I know I would only be a part of that, it would make me happy to be a piece of a larger picture. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I believe I would be a good moderator for XenoRP due to the experience I have with other server which have had similar numbers to Xeno in the past before they shut down, I have a decent temper, I'm not quick to anger over small things, rather finding things funny rather than insulting; Which is an important quality to have as a moderator on any server, as not everyone is exactly grateful to staff member. This leaves the ability to laugh off insults an important one as to remain unbiased and provide the person a great experience regardless of what they think or call you. More over I have moderated for Xeno multiple times in the past and thus have a good sense of what the MOTD says just from memory and the various systems in place, although I'm sure much has changed since the last time I was staff. To top it off I can balance serious with casual pretty well, I can be serious when situations call for it but can also just be casual; Creating a link between the staff team and the community. Although I'd like to simply say one last thing, I don't think I'm the perfect staff member obvious, I'm not egotistical like that, I'm not even near the best; But I would put in my best effort to improve myself and the experience for others. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. "RDM" Random Death Match is an occurrence that happens when one player kills another for a reason that is not applicable to the rules or in a random matter. A few examples of its occurrence would be as follows: "Player A kills Player B for walking into a building that Player A doesn't even own" "Player A kills Player B while walking down the street because Player B calls him gay" "Player A kills Player B from a rooftop because hes bored and is killing anyone he can see" The punishment for RDM is a standard warn, however if they keep RDMing they would receive a 7 day ban for repeated RDM. And if the extreme increased past that, and they killed many people at once they would receive a ban for 2 weeks for Mass RDM. "RDA" Random Arrest is a fairly self explanatory acronym. It's when a player arrests another player for a reason that is no applicable to the rules or in a completely random manner. A few example of its occurrences are as follows: "Player A arrests Player B for standing in the lobby of the PD" "Player A arrests Player B for a law that is no longer valid due to the mayor having changed jobs" "Player A arrests Player B for fun" "Player A arrests Player B because they insulted Player A" The punishment for RDM and RDA are similar to each other, a single occurrence would result in a warn, doing it multiple times would result in a 1 week ban for repeated RDA and doing it further in a short period would be Mass RDA which would result in a 2 week ban. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. "NLR" New life rule is a rule that is often violated, especially by newer players as it isn't as much common sense as the previous two rules of RDA and RDM. However among DarkRP players the rule is commonplace and well known. It is a rule that prevents the player form returning to a place after they have died for a certain amount of time and prevents them from acting on something that happened in their last life. You are unable to return to a place you came from in the past for 120 seconds unless it is a raid, in which case you must wait the duration of the raid to be able to go back to the place in which you died. A few examples of NLR are as follows: "Player A kills Player B and Player B runs back to the area to yell at Player A" "Player A is killed by Player B in a raid and Player A goes back and kills Player B" "Player A is buying a gun from Player B and is killed by Player C, Player A then return to get guns immediately after." "Player A mugs Player B and kills him, Player B runs back and shoots Player A in the head" The punishment for NLR is far less than the punishment for other rule breaking occurrences, a warn for a one time happening, and a 3 day ban for repeated occurrences of NLR. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. "Metagaming" is when someone uses "Meta" or unreasonable information to accomplish a task in RP. Aka they use knowledge that their character would not know to perform actions that they would otherwise be unable to do. A few examples are as follows: "Player A is in a discord call with Player B, both players are in a party in the game and Player A is killed. Player A then tells Player B he was killed and where, Player B then goes across the map to kill the person who killed Player A." "Player A, a meth cook asks how to cook meth is OOC. Player B, a cop uses that information that he is making meth from OOC to go to his base and get a warrant for it." "Player A says his codes in a VC, Player B then uses those codes to raid Player A." Metagaming is a more minor offense in comparison to other rules and usually results in a warn as a punishment, however Metagaming is also a common sign of NITRP (No intent to RP) which can have a ban time from 3 day to 5 days. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? If I saw a higher up abusing there powers I would immediately contact an Admin to report it while gathering as much evidence of the abuse as I can which also trying to control any damage that may be caused by the person abusing their power. If it was an admin abusing their power, I would obviously go to Zyngas and Phantom, as they are the only two who can handle issues involving an Admin. The highest severity implies that the situation is far beyond using the reporting system on the forums as it is too great to be left alone as it may result in increasing harm to the server the longer it goes on. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would pull the person Mass RDMing up to the sit and jail them. The correct thing to do is to deal with the person who is mass RDMing. However, I disagree with that idea. I don't think you should immediately stop everything to ban the person who is mass RDMing. Why should others have to suffer more because someone wants to break the rules to that degree? They are most likely doing it for the attention anyway, so dropping everything to ban them in that moment gives them everything they want. So personally I believe it's the right thing to continue the sit you are in after jailing the person who was Mass RDMing and contact another staff member if they are free to deal with them, however as soon as the previous sit is over I would deal with the person mass RDMing. I'm aware this isn't the "Correct" answer, but I believe this to be a better method of dealing with it. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would go up to the two players and tell them that even if they are the only players online they cannot build in the streets because other people may get on with due time. If they refuse to remove the building in the streets I would remover tool it if possible, I would warn them and then kick them and then remove it. Of course if they comply I would just give them a verbal warning and let them go on with their day. If they come back on and do it I would ban from for 3 days for NITRP/Ignoring the rules of XenoRP. Thank you for taking the time to read my application and have a nice day - Dergy.

Please note: I have not been active on Xeno as I stopped playing it months ago, however I am beginning to play it again and have been on for a few days, I don't expect you to ignore this, but I would like to address it rather than ignore it. (That being said I will be playing almost daily from 3:00 EST - 12:00 EST) a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Dergy a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198142095387/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? King Chromosome (Gaelic)#0598 a4) What timezone are you located in? EST a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 0 a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? Once, Mass RDM like over a year ago maybe two years old now, don't even remember what that was from. a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Xeno RP (4 times) Shadow networks - Server Manager l Knight Gaming - Co-owner l Reborn Gaming - Mod Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I want to volunteer for XenoRP's staff team because I would like to improve and add to the already great community, while also helping the server by keeping rule breakers out of the mix of the mix, vastly improving the playing experience and helping XenoRP grow to even higher heights than its already reached. I also want to be on the team due to my past experiences on Xeno RP's staff team being just about some of my best experiences on Gmod. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? If I was accepted, I feel I would be a good moderator because of my large amount of experience in staffing on Gmod, and on XenoRP itself. I know how the community works and know every rule there is to enforce, I also am able to be friendly with people out of sits and in sits, I however know how and when to be serious in sits and am able to keep my temper very well. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. "RDM" otherwise known as random death match is when a player for a reason that is not seen valid in a RP manner by the rules or the staff handling the sit, some examples of RDM are as follows "Bill kills Bob for calling him gay" "Bob Kills Bill for going into a base that doesn't have a KOS sign" "Bill Kills Bob because Bob is his good friend" RDM is not a major rule that warrants a ban unless it is committed in mass amounts, the proper punishment for RDM is a warn for doing, if they keep RDMing they will receive a ban for 7 days for "Repeated RDM" if they go on a mass killing spree they will be banned for 2 weeks for "Mass RDM" "RDA" otherwise known as "Random (death) Arrest" is when a player who is playing the role as law enforcement arrests someone for a reason that is not seen as RP friendly to the rules or the staff member currently handling the case, some examples of RDA are as follows "Bob arrests Bill for breathing" "Bill arrest Jim for owning Bitcoin miners" "Jim arrests bob for vaping while there is no mayor to set a law against such an activity" RDA is not a serious offence unless committed on a mass scale, the punishment for RDA is a simple warn, if they keep RDAing however they will receive a 7 days ban for "Repeated RDA", and if they go ever farther and arrest a large group falsely in a short time they will be banned for 2 weeks for "Mass RDA" c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. "NLR" otherwise known as "New life rule" is a rule that is common in most DarkRP servers that prohibits players on remembering what happened to them in a previous life and forbids them from acting on anything that has to do with that last life other returning to that area for a specified amount of time, some examples of NLR are as follows "Bill kills Jim for killing him" "Jim returns to the gun store after being killed by its owner" "Bob dies in a PD raid and comes back" "Bill is being raided and dies and returns to kill the raider" NLR is an extremely minor offence that has a simple punishment of a warn, however if they choose to keep breaking NLR they will receive a 3 day ban for "Repeated NLR" c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. “Metagaming” is when a person uses knowledge outside of the roleplay scenario to gain an upper hand or perform actions that otherwise wouldn’t be possible, a few examples of this are “Bob warrants Bill for saying he has weed in discord” “Bill Kills Bob for killing his party member that was across the map from him” “Bill uses Bobs codes to raid him because he said it in a voice call.” Metagaming is a very minor offence and is punished with a warning. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? I would react by gathering an undeniable amount of proof of them abusing their powers and report them to one of the admins, or Zyngas/Phantom if the higher up is an admin. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would grab the person and pull them to the rooftop and jail them, after doing that I would complete my current sit and then address the person who was mass RDMing. Just because someone wants to break the rules to the severity of mass RDM doesn’t mean I should stop my current sit for them. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I inform them that even if they are the only two players online the rules still fully apply to them, If this is my first time seeing them doing this and they comply I will let them off with a verbal, if they argue I would warn them and remover tool the build (Kick if I was T-mod at the time). If they do it again right after I kicked/warned them I would ban them for 3 days for NITRP / Repeatedly ignoring the rules. Edit: Replaced the word freeze with Jail.
