Ravoi
a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Mandell a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198096555080/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) Ravoi#0606 a4) What timezone are you located in? EST a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 2 (over two years ago) a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? Yes, most of my bans were from a couple years ago and the most recent one was a false ban (which should've been a warn because that still was wrong of me to do). a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Yes, I've staffed here(almost SMOD but resigned 1 week before) and on a Star Wars RP server which is now defunct. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I want to volunteer for XenoRP because when I was staff for the server multiple times, I realized how fun it was to moderate and help keep a server active and healthy. XenoRP keeps bringing me back because of the community that was built up around it. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I think I would be a good moderator because last time I was mod, I learned a few things last time but overall, I had no trouble with it. With my experience and being familiar with the "mingy" side of the community, I could also relate to those people who are affected by mingy actions. My type of attitude helps me relate to people and hopefully gets them in a better mood. I find it crucial to remind players to have a good day because at the end of the day, this is just a game and getting mad over it is pointless. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM stands for "Random Death Match" and it is when a player starts a hostile action against another player with no RP reason. Players committing RDM will usually get a warn but may change depending on their overall actions on the server (i.e not RPing or MRDM, which is a 2 week ban). RDA stands for "Random Arrest" and it is when a player as a cop arrests another player for no RP reason. Players that RDA others will usually get a warn. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR stands for "New life rule" and it is the rule that when a player dies, they will respawn and RP without the gained knowledge of the encounter that led them to their death. Instances in which it's violated include; Coming back to a raid right after the player dies and attempts to stop the raid, and going back to a spot in which you've died without waiting 2 minutes. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagame is when a player uses outside RP knowledge to help them in-game. This includes watching the kill feed for a person to die so you can raid them and using discord to talk to your party members about your base getting raided so they can come over and defend it. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? If I saw a higher up abuse their powers, I would at first confront the HR abusing their powers and try to get them to stop. If that didn't work, I would contact the Owner/An Admin to notify them about the situation. Meanwhile, I would also record video evidence of the higher up abusing their powers. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would first notify any other staff members that are on duty to handle the situation but if I was the only one, I would jail the MRDMer and finish the first sit. Then, I would promptly ban the MRDMer for 2 weeks (1 if I was a T-Mod but would ask a HR to extend it to 2 weeks). d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would remind them that building in the streets is against the rule, and I would remove the props and give a verbal warning to both of them. If they weren't the hobo class, I would tell them if they wanted to build on the sidewalk, they should switch to that class. A rule's a rule and I have to enforce it no matter what. Link to comment
