a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Cornisaurus a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/id/cornisaurus/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) Cornisaurus#9952 a4) What timezone are you located in? EST (Eastern Standard Time) a5) How many in-game warns do you have? Zero, and hopefully it will stay that way. a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? No, and it will stay that way. a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? In a few small discords I used to moderate, but they have very low member count and has since become inactive/disbanded. This is a great opportunity for some new experience in GMOD though! Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? When I play GMOD, which is pretty often on weekdays and early on weekends, I find the only server I can play is Xeno. After nearly 100 hours of playtime, Xeno is the only server I can find that draws me in with a friendly community and a great moderation team, making it feel more like a safe space in video games where I can relax and leave the competitive side of games behind. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I think I have a strong understanding of the rules and because of some comments and consideration on my end due to an older application, I understand more about how the server works and how I can play a helpful role into the server as someone who can deal with tickets while other mods are offline. (here if you didnt see, I was denied for acting like a child when moderators weren't around, and have since learned from that: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is Random Deathmatch, which is the action of killing a player with an invalid roleplay reason or in a way the does not abide by server rules. RDA is Random arrest, which can be any time a player is arrested without breaking the pre-made rules or the mayor's custom rules (those that are allowed and just, of course). The punishments for both of these are the same for me, simply bringing both players involved (the one who made the ticket and the offender) and deciding if it was breaking the rules. After arriving at my decision, I would ask the ticket maker whether to do a normal or verbal warn, and what they decide goes. However, if the same person RDA/RDMs again within a certain time period, I would warn them normally no matter what the ticket maker asks, since it is a second recent offense. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. New life rule, or "NLR" for short, is when a player is killed, all of their past property, experiences, knowledge, and relations are temporarily voided for two minutes, or potentially longer depending on certain situations (they were killed in a raid that is still ongoing). An example of NLR breakage would be if a cop were to die in a police raid, then come back and kill the players after already lowering their hp and discovering their position. Another example would be if a player had killed another player in a hit, that player could not return to the place they were killed at, no matter how much they needed to (ex: their base). c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagame is outside or impossible knowledge by a roleplay standpoint, such as if a player who had used a no clip glitch used that information to raid another person, or a mod investigating a player's base, and then used that knowledge gain to go through the fastest route to their money clickers/decide if the base is worth raiding. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? I gather proper evidence of the higher up abusing, and then find out enough about their rank to file a report to a person outranking them either through discord or the forums. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would ask the person in my sit to remain there temporarily, or if they are untrustworthy (mass RDMer) then I would jail them and bring the new MRDMer into a seperate sit area and jail them as well. If there is another mod online, I would request that they take the new MRDMer as I unjail and resolve my previous ticket. If there is not another mod, I would deal with my previous ticket and then move on to the RDMer. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would explain to the two other players that despite the lower active members they still cannot build in the streets, but if they are hobos, they can build in sidewalks that do not obstruct a building. After verbally warning and deleting all their props, any farther offenses would either be a warn for propspam or a appealable propspam ban for 7 days depending on prior offenses and how many props were used. Thanks again, Cornisaurus

No, and I will continue to abide by all rules. a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? I have no prior Gmod staffing experience, but do moderate for a few small discord servers and hope that I can get more Gmod moderation experience in the near future. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I feel that moderation/staffing in any location, virtual or irl, this role represents a strong care for the community you are taking care of and keeping clean. In other words, I jsut want to help make this server as pleasant as possible. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? At the time of writing this, there is a MRDM/Minger who is getting votekicked but keeps rejoining. I think that since I can play at the early morning hours when there is rarely ever a mod online, I can handle these situations without having to use external help/wait for a mod. Not only this, but as a mod, rather than blatantly flying in a players view, I would moderate covertly to avoid making players act differently around me/break character. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is Random deathmatch, which could be considered as any hostile action that could be unwarranted/without reason. RDA is Random Arrest, which can be any case of a police officer arresting a player without a just cause, warrant, or evidence of them committing an illegal or hostile action. When done singularly/across long periods of time, the correct punishment should be a verbal warn and explanation of the rules, unless asked otherwise by a victim, in which case it can be a standard RDM/RDA warn. 3-4+ incidents of RDM/RDA in a small time period can be considered Mass Random Deathmatch or Mass Random Arrest (MRDM/MRDA) both of which can be punished with week long-multi week bans depending on severity, attitude, how informed the person is, and prior warn/ban incidents. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR, or New Life Rule, is when an RP character dies, all of their past knowledge and actions at the time of death are erased, meaning both parties, both the one who died, and the ones who killed, are responsible to form new roleplay interaction that cannot be traced back to prior lives. In cases where players were killed at their base or had ties to party members, they cannot interact with those people for 120 seconds or 2 min. Examples of new life rule breakage: Dying during a raid only to return and kill the party who killed you before 120 seconds have elapsed, returning to the sight of an RDM for revenge (just call a mod), and trying to recover a raid after being killed while defend (before 2 min have passed) c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagame is when a character/player has knowledge that defies their current roleplay standpoint or is learned without roleplay interaction. Ex: a mod investigating a player's base, and then used that knowledge gain to go through the fastest route to their money clickers/decide if the base is worth raiding. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? Record multiple clips of the mod abusing power, gain more information on them (RP name, Steam ID) and rather than posting on the forums, I would find someone of higher ranking than the abuser, to ensure proper punishment. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? Depending on the severity of the current sit, I would either jail the member of the current sit (if the member of the sit is untrustworthy/has several warns or bans) or just trust them to stay at the site of the sit (No warns/bans). After that, I would approach the MRDM'er, and jail them at a seperate site that is ready for a sit. If my sit is going to take a long time/is severe (MRDM/MRDA) then I will get the help of another mod to deal with the new MRDM'er. If my current sit is short, then I will deal with both sits accordingly. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would verbally warn the other 2 players, who most likely thought it was ok to place props without other players online. If I returned later in the same time frame to see the props haven't been deleted, I would warn for Propspam. Anything after that is a one week ban with appeals for Mass Propspam. Thank you for your time and consideration, Corni
