a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Yes, I was staff on several servers and I've owned servers in the past. I was a dedicated staff member on Aether Networks which I resigned due to lack of community ( It was a very toxic environment ) , I was staff on Garnet Gaming for a while before I resigned due to the fact that me and the staff manager did not get along and he was being extremely toxic to me and my friends. I was staff on a server called Venom RP about 4 years ago and I was on that server until it shut down, Was also staff on a server called OGRP ( Original Roleplay ) I climbed to super-admin before the server shut down. Was also staff on another server ( Can't remember the name it's been too long ) But I climbed to Head-Moderator before I decided to transfer to their Star Wars RP server.

Please answer these questions with your honest opinion.
b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I want to volunteer to Xeno RP because I've not spent long on the server maybe a few hours by the time I'm making this Staff Application but it seems like a good server from what I've played so far and I've read posts on the forums about how the server " died " because of staff abusers and I wanted to make an Application so I can be the staff member that is always on to help people and the staff member that isn't Power Hungry and I want to help " Revive " the server again, Although I have played on XenoRP about 1/ a half year(s) ago I decided it would be nice to rejoin the server and try to help populate it again.

b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I think what will make me a good Moderator is that I will always be dedicated to doing my job and I won't ever get frustrated and lash out on toxic or annoying players, I know how to control myself. I also have a ton of experience as Moderating on GMod Servers and I feel like that is a huge + to another reason I would be a good moderator. With as much experience as I have it will be easy to settle in. I think players will enjoy having me on the staff team because I'm not a toxic person, I'm generally nice to everyone I encounter. I enjoy helping people and I find so much fun in taking Staff Sits and solving the problems and helping players get back what the lost or correctly punish the rule breakers.

Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions:

c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM Is Random Death Match - RDA is Random Arrest

RDM is the act of Randomly Killing a player without a valid reason behind that action. The way I think players who RDM should be punished is usually by a warn. I like to give the Victim a choice, They can choose if they want me to enforce the warning on the assailant. I also do acknowledge that some servers have different Punishment guidelines. Most servers I have been staff on start with a Written Verbal Warning ( which would look like this ) RDM | VW in the !warn menu if the player has no previous warns. Then after the first warn it would usually be a 5 minute jail then you would procced on with a 10 minute jail for the next warn and afterwards if they get another RDM warn it would generally be a 3-4 day ban.

 

RDA is the act of Randomly Arresting a player without a valid reason. I think RDA is punished the same was as RDM which is what the punishment guideline on most servers I've moderated on. But like I said some servers do have different Punishment Guidelines so I am all ears and I will be happy to do something different if needed.

 

 

c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR is new life rule - Also known as Going back to your point of death without waiting 2 entire minutes. Some ways you can violate that are for example say your are being raided, You are killed and then you come back to your base without waiting the full 2 minutes that is considered breaking NLR which is also a warn-able offense. You can also violate NLR by another example assume you are in the PD - Police Department and there's a hitman he comes in and kills you because he had a hit on you, You will not be allowed to go back to the Police Department for the full 2 minutes even if the hitman has left.

c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagame "Metagaming" Is when one transfers RP data to Non Role-play data, usually via "OOC" or a "Private Message" An example I would give is say you're raiding the PD and your friend is a Staff Member and he is Cloaked and is telling you where the Officers are sitting so you can shoot them through props or have knowledge on them that you normally wouldn't have inside of an RP scenario.

Please explain how you would handle each of these situations:
d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? Well if it's the highest severity I'm going to assume I'm banned already because they are abusing and probably banning everyone. So the first thing I would do is find someone who is a higher rank than that person and message them on discord and tell them the situation inform them of who it is and what the severity is like if they are just Jailing people or if it goes to the extent of banning people and kicking people. I would have also salvaged video proof by using the clipping feature on Nvidia Shadow-Play and I would upload the video and get it to them as quick as possible for more valid proof that could help.

d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would freeze the person mass rdming and ask another staff member to take carte of it, if there were no other staff members available then I would proceed to bring them up to where I am and keep them frozen and I would kindly ask the people that are involved with the sit I am in if they could give me a second to issue out a warn and a ban to the mass rdmer, If they said yes I would then quickly do that and get back to handling the sit, Then if they said no I would quickly get their sit handled as fast as possible and I would then hope the Mass Rdmer hasn't L2AP and I would go back to the Mass Rdmer and Ban them.

d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. Even though it's only 2 other players and they are both perfectly fine with building in the street I would still have to ask them to stop unless they are hobos, because it is indeed against the rules and if I let them break the rules then I would give myself a reputation and people would feel comfortable breaking the rules around me.


I understand my lack of playtime and to make up for that I would completely understand if you put my application on Pause and waited to see if I became more active in the future. But I can promise you I will play this server a lot. - Aidan thanks for giving me the opportunity of making this staff application and I hope you have a great day! ( or night )
