Yes. For over about 5-6 years, I have been staff for multiple servers. A few for reference are IronEdge Gaming RP, THAB (which was a global community of server for multiple gamemodes), Rage Gaming (a murder server), and Verd's purge RP.

Please answer these questions with your honest opinion.
b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP?:

 

Because I find the server to be one of the best in a while. I find the staff community very well trained and always assist me whenever I'm in need of help. I appreciate the simplicity of the economy system, and like the way you don't have to be a certain rank to play as most of the jobs. I believe that the server is very enjoyable as a roleplaying experience. Usually, when touring any other random server, there is a bunch of bullshit pertaining to the job ranking and the money system, and to make it worse, a terrible staff team that doesn't care about the players' experience. This server shows that there are still some gems out there in the ocean of gamemodes. 

 

b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator?

 

If I were to be accepted, I believe I would be a good moderator because of my past experiences as a staff member on other roleplaying servers. I was never one to abuse my power, and I have a very good memory for remembering specific rules. I know how to deal with most situations without being unfair or biased. I enjoy making sure the server is well monitored and people are playing as they should. I believe all players should be able to have fun on the server, but of course follow the regulations of the server. I'm also a very avid GMOD player, therefore I will be very active. I do not slack, and will most definitely get the job done. 

 

Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions:

c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished.

 

RDM (Random Death Match): When a player kills another player without proper reason or cause. 

RDA (Random Death Arrest): When a player wrongfully arrests another player. 

If a player has committed a single RDM incident, they should be warned for RDMa nd jailed for a certain duration of time based on what can be proved and what the victim says. If a player has committed several RDM incidents, they should be kicked or banned depending on how many players were killed. 

If a player has committed a single RDA incident, they should be warned depending on if the victim's story can be proved and jailed for a specific duration. If a player has committed several RDA incidents, they should be kicked or banned depending on how many players were falsely arrested.

 

c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated.:

 

NLR (New Life Rule): A rule prohibiting people from committing FailRP by returning to a place where they recently were killed. 

If a player has been killed in a gun store for raiding, and they return to finish the raid, that would be considered breaking NLR. 

If a player has been arrested, and returns to kill the player who arrested them after their release, that would be breaking NLR. 

If a player has been killed on the streets by a hitman completing a hit, and returns to kill the hitman, that would be violating NLR. 

 

c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence.:

 

Using Non-RP information to determine an action in an RP experience.

If two players in a party are on different parts of the map, and one player finds in the kill feed that their party member has been killed, and hunt for the player that killed their party member, that is considered metagaming.

Please explain how you would handle each of these situations:
d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react?:

 

Post proof of the incident on the forums, or report to a more responsible higher ranking staff member.

 

d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation?:

 

Jail the Mass RDMer, quickly ban them for 1-2 weeks, depending on how many players have been killed, and finish the previous sit.

 

d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets.:

 

Approach them and inform them that building in the streets is in violation of the rules and if they continue to build in the streets, they will be kicked.
