I have an immense amount of staffing experience. Between all my past accounts + my current one..I probably have over 20,000 hours on this game. Most of it spent playing DarkRP or other game modes like it. Most servers I usually end up becoming a part of the staff simply because I just enjoy helping out the community and seeing it grow from the point that I joined. It would honestly take me a while to come up with all the servers I've staffed on but I can tell you the most recent server was Defcon Gaming. It had a very large player base and we were constantly dealing with tickets/reports.


Please answer these questions with your honest opinion.

1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP?

I would like to be a part of the team because within the short time period I've been here..I noticed this community is pretty awesome and I'd like to contribute my experience and knowledge of being a staff member on a highly populated DarkRP server. I also notice a lot of people getting away with murder - no pun intended. Another huge reason why I would love to join is because there's no better feeling then keeping the server clean of minges and helping the regulars that actually enjoy good RP. Yes I do enjoy RPing myself but for some reason I can sit for hours and constantly do reports rather than RP because a good DarkRP server has constant assistance from staff for players..and that's what I plan to do if I were to become staff.

2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator?

Three things would most definitely make me a good moderator. Firstly, you need to be able to multi-task. Having the ability to multi-task is key to being a successful staff member on a DarkRP server. There will always be multiple things going on at once and you need to be able to adapt to the situation at hand immediately while also handling other children at the same time. I know I have what it takes to multi-task because I do it with my real job outside of gaming. Secondly, you need to be 100% completely unbiased. Throughout the time of being on the server..you will make friends, especially as a staff member. While being a part of the staff team..if you encounter a sit where your friend is involved..you'll have to be completely unbiased and handle the situation as if it was two random people you don't even know. Being a biased staff member will do you no good. Being unbiased is very simple for me. Last but not least..to keep it simple..you just need to be somewhat professional. Yes Garry's Mod is all fun and games and it's not that serious..but if you are part of the staff team..you need to set a good example for everyone and show that you are capable of babysitting and keeping the server a clean place for everyone. There's ways where you can be professional but also have fun at the same time..and I can definitely find that median.


Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions:

1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished.

RDM - Random Death Match. This is when a player kills another player or players for absolutely no RP reason; or in certain circumstances..a death that should have occurred at a different approach. Example: Not warning someone before just randomly shooting them. If this were to occur I would bring both players into a sit and find out the story. If the person who RDM'd needs punishment..I would take a look at his recent warns and go from there..but usually It would be a warning first then so on and so forth.

RDA - Random Arrest. This is when a player of the government jobs randomly arrests a player without RP reason. Just like RDM..I would bring the government official and the victim into a sit and find out the story. If he did indeed random arrest..I would then look into his warns and go from there, but will most likely get a warning first then possible demotion of his job in the future.

2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated.

NLR - New Life Rule. This is when a player dies and returns to his previous position continuing where he left off. This can be broken in other ways too. For example...getting killed by an opposing gang member, and getting revenge on that gang member after dying. Punishment for this cause would be a warning and then if they were to repeat it..a possible kick from the server or demotion of job.

3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence.

Metagaming is pretty simple. It's when a person transmits RP data to non-roleplay data. This means a player going through OOC to talk to another player about a certain incident that is occurring. A perfect example of metagaming would be: You're the mayor of the city..you see a hitman in chat type "Hit accepted." You then see at the top right of your screen that the hitman killed a certain player. You then put out a warrant for his arrest just because of what you saw. One more example of metagaming and also breaking NLR is you dying in a raid..then going in OOC and conversing with the opposing player about what just occurred.


Please explain how you would handle each of these situations:


1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react?

This one is very simple. If I see any staff member abusing their power..I would go to whoever is in charge of the staff team and let them know immediately. I wouldn't approach them and yell at them because that can cause more issues and I don't want that. I would keep it on the down-lo and try to get it situated as fast as possible. If this person was in charge of the staff team I would then immediately go to the owner or co owner of the server to let them know what's going on. I would also get hard evidence so I can show it to the owner or head of staff when speaking with them.

2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation?

I would immediately put the sit on hold and deal with the mass RDMer. I would politely tell the two people I'm dealing with to hold on a moment since a mass RDMer can wipe out a server pretty quickly and we want to minimize that situation asap. When I say deal with the mass RDMer..I would !jail him the second I see him start murdering everyone so he can't continue to do that..and then I would further punish him depending on the situation he has created.

3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets.

To me..rules are rules and even if there are only two players on..I want them to abide by them. Keeping players in line on the server sets an example for new people that join. If we have people building in the street..new people will join and they wont want to stay..simply because it will look very mingey. I would go up to these two players and kindly explain to them that rules are rules and no matter what time of the day or night it is..we have to follow them just like everybody else.
