  1. What more proof is needed? It shows the cop stating he broke bitcoin miners. Cops can't do thay, bitcoin miners are legal. Also Greg, I was told only senior moderator's handle reports. I really would like if you would stay out of this. As we've had a couple interactions I'm not too fond of. Please leave me alone Greg.
  2. You're right I did not include that in the initial report and that's my mistake for not doing so. The good news, is that Greg was there and witnessed it all. At the time Greg was confused about the rule, and due to his confusion he did not punish the player for the rule. Hopefully now that this confusion is cleared up the player can be punished for the infraction.
  3. I'd agree with the fact, that typically a player would be given a verbal or the warn removed. However, I think it's a mods job to be active an recognize mistakes from Ill intentions. If you factor in the totality of the circumstances, I think it would be reasonable to conclude that he deserves a warn.
  4. Serious people send facepalms and people falling of skateboards. Grow up greg.
  5. a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? RoyGeeBiv a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198342319766 a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) RoyGeeBiv#2928 a4) What timezone are you located in? Eastern time zone a5) How many in-game warns do you have? One warn for ARDA. a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? N/a a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? I've moderated for several networks on Garry's Mod including Garnet, Ice fuse, Sandusky's RP and many more. I also have experience moderating for twitch streamers, Minecraft servers, Arma 2 Roleplay servers. I have more experience than listed, those are just a few examples. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? Well, for one I am very active during the late night hours when stuff goes wild. I really enjoy the server, but dislike when things go haywire. I would also like to be granted immunity from getting warned when If I were to break rules, and instead only be reprimanded with gentle reminders and never be warned, demoted, or ever have to take responsibility for my own actions or mistakes. I also want to help new players that need help learning and understanding the game. I'm a great teacher and can definitely teach people new concepts. I would also like to assist in helping my fellow moderators. I was recommended to apply by many moderators, so their opinion of my abilities is pretty good. Some of the recommendations I've received are "If you disagree, we can always use new staff members.", "If you want to decide how to punish players then apply", "If you care so much, put an application in". "Quit bitching about it and apply if you want to decide what the punishments are" I'm sure these stellar mods will, be quick to confirm their recommendation as mod. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I'm very experienced, and I am willing to teach people when they make mistakes. I would be a moderator who can recognize when a player makes an honest mistake, or if a player is purposefully breaking the rules. I would adjust my punishments accordingly. As a moderator I would also be very comfortable with the rules, and would not be hesitant to enforce rules. I'm not afraid to ask for help, and always have an open ear. I'm able to admit my mistakes if I were to make them, and am willing to work with the party that was wronged. I'm a quick learner, and have experience with blogs, awarns, and ulx. Overall I think I would be a great addition to the team, due to my prior experience, knowledge of the motd, and ability to admit my mistakes. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is when a player kills another without a proper reason. RDA is when a player arrests a player without proper reason. For first time offenders, a warn or verbal warn will sufficient depending on the circumstances. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR Stands for new life role. This means if you die, you start a new life, and cannot return to the place of death for two minutes, and if there is an active raid, they must wait until the raid is complete. An example of this is when cops are killed in a pdraid, and then return to the PD to defend it after already dying. Another example would be if a player was killed by a hit, and returns to the same location within 120 seconds of their death. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagaming is using information gathered from non realistic in game interactions. This can be anything from receiving information about a raider from a party member who already died, and is feeding you information via discord. Or it can be something like stream sniping someone, ie seeing someone who has printers on a steam, and then warranting them as a cop. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? First I message an admin or owner via discord. Second I would gather evidence while simultaneously asking the the staff member to stop abusing their powers. I constantly record, and getting evidence is often key to staff investigations. Sometimes asking the staff member to stop, might help alleviate the problem, as they might not even know they are abusing. If it's a severe abuse case, mass banning for example. I would try to stop the staff member who was abusing their command by using my commands provided to me. Kick/ban etc.(Depending on the ULX targeting) d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would jail the player who is mass rdming , and would complete my admin sit. After my sit is complete I would talk to the player, and confirm that it was indeed mass rdm and not a mix up. Mix-ups happen. For all I know the player could have been countering a raid, or defending himself and it may have looked like mass rdm,. Players may even have submitted tickets thinking it was mass rdm, when in fact it was not. I think it's only just to ask them what happened prior to confirming that it was in fact rdm, and then banning them for two weeks. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would kindly ask them to stop building in the streets, and for them to remove their props. Rules still apply, even when the server is in low population. If they refuse, and decide to disobey my verbal warning. I would escalate my verbal to a legitimate warning and remove their props. If they continue to place props in the street again, another warning. If the players return after a kick, then a ban is warranted, as the players clearly have no intention to roleplay. Edits: So to respond to some of the comments I added on this little excerpt. Greg: Please keep your personal distaste out of my application. You're acting spiteful because I justly reported staff members. Non of my staff reports were false and they all had proper evidence. Just like I stated in D1, if a staff member is abusing I'll report them. If it causes, "isolation", then I'm sorry, but my duty to report and make the server a better place comes first. Im sorry if my rightful reports isolated anyone, however I'm not sorry for making those reports because I believe it's fair to have some oversight from thr higher ups, and the best way to do this is to bring it to their attention with valid proof, and a staff report. Teffa: Good news. I have a mic. So no worries about that. Also I've only ever been in one sit with you, and you were the one breaking the rules. Your sample size is not representative of the whole. Ive had plenty of sits and while I might suggest punishments I understand that the mods decision is final and I drop the sit. The exception to this, is if the sit was conducted incorrectly. Lolagaf: I'm not sure what I messed up in those portions. I can see how B1 might be misconstrued, but I'm not sure what your problem with B2 is. To further explain B1. The prompt asks for me to answer the question honestly. While I don't intend to break rules, or make mistakes, the fact that moderators are typically punished less severely and get verbals or verbal talked to for mistakes did factor in to my decision for applying. I like having a clean record, and would like to keep it that way. It's not meant to be rude or spiteful or high horsey. It's honest, and I would be lying if I didn't mention the perks of the job. Hopefully that clears that portion of the application up and you can evaluate it with a different perspective. Also in B2, I list genuine traits I value in a Moderator, things I hold near and dear and legitimately believe they are important to effective moderation. I don't understand what your problem is with this section. Lolagaf additional: I'm not trying to have a smartass attitude. Please understand that. Im really trying to be honest, and I'm explaining myself, as people often twist my words. Teffa's direct quote was "The majority of your sits". A majority is the larger part of a whole. You can't make an observation about the whole, when you are only going off such a small sample size. Hopefully I addressed all of your concerns about my application. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me on discord a3.
  6. I want him punished for this infraction. Not a separate infraction, and I want you to take more time in your sits. Also I'd appreciate a more serious tone in a staff report.

  9. Will the player ever face judgement for this issue? Or will we continue to play ring around the Rosie and avoid the very nature of my original report? Like I said in my original report, and this one. The player was never punished for the invisible props. It's not really double jeopardy if the Mod was unaware of the rule in the first place. Greg marked it off as "Ohhhh there's nothing I can do, those are translucent". I just want someone else to view the evidence, and make a decision different than the original. Why do you make it so hard?
  10. Ok, that's fine. He killed me after adverting the mug. Ummmm I'll get more evidence next time I guess?

  13. Alright, here's my response to your input. You recognized Greg made a mistake from my player report, correct? How come that was never stated? Instead you simply said "It is up to the moderator's discretion to decide on these things. If that is what he decided, then there ya go. " I'm fairly certain that you wanted that topic to end there, and didn't want further discussion. That's frustrating to me as a player. To me when you say "If that is what he decided, then there ya go", you're asking me to accept Greg's incorrect decision. That's just wrong, because no person with their head on straight is going to blindly believe an incorrect decision. I really have a problem with that. I have a problem that instead of you recognizing and responding to the mistake that Greg made in the report, you shifted the focus to shutting me down in a sense, and telling me that Greg's decision was final. (Remember Greg's decision was that a clearly transparent prop, was translucent.) Kahow, was using the invisible props to his advantage, he was baiting people to jump in his house, and then would close the rolling garage door, and shoot them. He wasn't a confused player who was misusing or confused regarding the invisible props. He was doing so maliciously , a moderators job is to recognize when a player is legitimately confused, or if the player is breaking the rules knowingly and with malicious intent. I totally agree that verbals should be used when a player is unaware of the rules, or if the player is new, or if it's a genuine mistake. To say that a certain rule is "Always a verbal" is a little much. Moderators should be adaptive. I think this is certainly a case where Greg would for sure have been able to recognize Kahow's intent, and if Greg knew the translucent/transparent at the time he likely would have given Kahow a warning. I understand that Kahow was later banned for separate infractions. That has nothing to do with my report. Quit telling me he was eventually dealt with. He was dealt with for different reasons, and this report was never dealt with correctly. I really don't care about his separate infractions, it doesn't justify not warning him for this one. You can still warn banned players right?
  14. Please shift you attention to the real issue. Remember the player I was trying to report for breaking the rules?
  15. What? Literally all I've done is try to rectify something that I saw was wrong. I don't care if things don't go my way. I care if things are done correctly. At no point was I trying to be derogatory. Not being able to take legitimate criticism, doesn't mean the other person is trying to be rude. Especially when the the criticism is with good intentions.
  16. I'm not twisting anything. What did I say that was false?
  17. People say your name, because it's your name
  18. Ok Greg. The props are translucent. You didn't make a mistake Greg. Greg is right trans·lu·cent - (of a substance) allowing light, but not detailed shapes, to pass through; semitransparent. No mistakes, No rushing("I was busy. " and only spending 30 seconds in my sit) The staff didn't review anything Greg. They clearly stated that "Whatever Greg's Decision is, is final" Look at the report again. They didn't look into the issue at all, they essentially just said "Well Greg was there, it was handled" The player didn't get warned for it later, he was banned for different reasons and apparently that's supposed to suffice and make my report invalid or unimportant? I might not "Know what the process is" but I'm fairly certain it's not about rushing sits, and denying mistakes. It's also not about clearly upholding wrong decisions. Also the whole "Waiting too catch him doing worse stuff"? What the hell? Shouldn't staff try to prevent him from doing worse stuff? I don't know maybe warning him for the small thing that are clearly happening instead letting him continue his bullshit for hours and in the process make sure you handle sits and do nothing about them? What about this is a good idea?
  19. You can't have it both ways. Staff can't be busy, and rush sits and not give them their full attention, and on the other hand not allow player dispute their rushed decisions. Frankly, all I wanted was for you to listen to my side of the story. Instead you rushed in, made a mistake (Everyone makes mistakes, and I don't fault them for that) I personally think the sit could have been resolved, if you hung around for maybe 45 seconds after concluding that the prop was "translucent" I think we could have had a discussion and you would have realized that the props are actually transparent and violate the rules. Why did you even take my sit and pretend to care for 30 seconds, and instantly leave. At that point, don't even come to me. From what I've learned, it's really hard to dispute something, even if it's very blatantly wrong. You came to me, and rushed the sit, which in turn made an irrefutable decision that was upheld by multiple staff members and prevented my player report from being handled. I'm sorry Greg, this report isn't really directly meant to report you. It's more about the process man. I disagreed with your decision about not warning the guy, and your verdict that the props were translucent. That's all I really cared about. That's why I made the player report. I wanted another staff member to review it. Instead I was told I had to report you for making a wrong decision. I really just wanted a second opinion on the report and for you to possibly learn something from the other staff member that handled said player report.
  20. No, you really didn't make that clear. You slightly hinted at it when you tped to me stating "Kahow is doing invisible prop things again". What really made it unclear, was when you said "Well it's translucent" and flew away seconds after stating that. In my time playing that day, he was not warned kicked or banned for that reason. I was on for nearly an hour after calling the ticket. Nothing about that was clear that he was getting warned for any of those reasons.
  21. Greg, you might benefit from googling the word translucent. You also might benefit from listening to the reporting player, instead of flying away, since the reporting player called the sit for a reason, and can probably assist you in understanding the problem
  22. You told me "The props are translucent, not transparent" and then flew away.
  23. Hey I was curious, it seemed like the mods an admins had their hands tied. "Kahow was banned. Greg was talked to. There is nothing more I can do. If you want to decide how the staff should work than please put an application up. " First off, I really don't want to be a part of a team where the majority of the people hate me. It's very clear and apparent that this is the case, I've overheard it in conversation between staff members and, I've had tickets ignored because staff don't want to deal with me. Which is funny, I record all of my gameplay and have it ready, it's an easy sit for a staff member to handle. So no, I wont put my application up. I also don't want to decide how staff should work. Just because I point out very apparent issues in the staffing system does in no way shape or form mean that I want to be a part of the decision on how the staff team should operate. The thing that sticks out to me is that "There is nothing more I can do". I disagree with that completely. Here are some suggestions for the things you can do: What about warn the player who was breaking the rules? This one is a no brainer in my opinion. The player broke the rule, and Greg didn't punish him. I mean, there is a screenshot right there of the player breaking the rules, it's kinda in plain site and the main focal point of the report, and the complete reason for creating the report in the first place. Instead the focus shifted from the player I was reporting, to myself. I was apparently in the wrong for question Greg's decision respectively on the forums. The focus shifted so much, that the player was never warned. What about letting Greg respond to the report, we never got his input on it? What about looking into the root cause of the issue? Why did Greg think this prop was not invisible? Handle the report as quick as possible and give no meaningful insight to the player who reported this Completely ignore the evidence in the staff report. Say Gregs decision is final. Instead of using any of those logical steps, you decided "There was nothing more that you could do". It was more important to take the report and move it to handled and not let anyone respond to it. A player is very clearly breaking the rules. So what do I do about it? Well, here are my steps, tell me at which point I made a mistake. I made a ticket about a player breaking rules in game. What came from it? Nothing Made a player report about the player breaking the rules with a screenshot. What came from it? Nothing I'm now making the staff report, and if nothing comes from this I'm at a complete and utter loss. What even is step 4? Questions: Why is Greg's word final, why can't other staff weigh in on it? What is step 4 if this report goes nowhere like all of my other reports? How does a player contest the decision of a staff member? Why was this all so hard on me, why was the burden shifted to me for creating posts, and following formats, just for a simple warn? Why are staff immune from the rules, unless a player reports them? See here Does anyone recognize a problem with any of this?
  24. Your In-Game (RP) Name:RoyGeeBiv Which staff member are you reporting: Greg, Saddy, Lolagaf Please describe the staff member's unjust behavior: Greg told me these props were invisible. The player in question was not punished for invisible props, as Greg decided that they were "not invisible". Next, Saddy and Lolagaf both tell me that Greg's decision stands. The decision in which Greg decided that this prop https://prnt.sc/qz6rx0 was not transparent. Here is a link to the player report, in which nothing was done because Greg's decision is final or something. This means because Greg says the prop was not invisible the player was not warned. So maybe revisit that player report instead of trusting Greg. I don't really know, I'm incredibly frustrated that instead of looking at my screenshot I had one mod, and an admin tell me that Greg's decision stands and the player was not warned for the actions. Saddy did however tell me to report Greg if I was still unsatisfied, so here it is. Please provide any available evidence to back your claims: https://prnt.sc/qz6rx0
  25. RoyGeeBiv

    Hello

To clarify it's the prop directly in front of me. not the one to the left. Greg is actually behind the prop
