Cash The Magician
a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Cash Money Wizard a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198424160331/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) Cash The Magicican#7281 a4) What timezone are you located in? EST a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 15 overall, one recent, but to be fair, XenoRP was my first RP server where I learned the rules. I didn't know that reading the MOTD was mandatory to have a decent RP experience and to fully grasp the rules, I felt the server out. This gave me lots of insight onto the server's rules and now I have only recently been warned once because of a misunderstanding. a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? When I joined the server, I believe I was a seventh grader and as we all know middle schoolers have pretty much the biggest potty mouths around. I was saying a bunch of shock value things and was eventually banned for it which happened a few times. I then started taking the server seriously and stopped getting myself in trouble. Everything I said I wish I could take back, and I'm not like that anymore, two and a half years can change a person dramatically at that age and now I know how to hold my tongue thankfully. The only issue I have had recently was when the word that rhymes with maggot was banned without notice. I got a warn for that but didn't make the same mistake twice. (To clarify, I am 15) a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? I do not, but I am very open to learning! Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? XenoRP lacks staff at critical times sometimes and if it means I can't play than so be it because the server needs to be moderated effectively which at times it is not. I have a lot of commitment to Xeno, It was my first RP server and I play on it far more than any other server. I also have the rank G-Man and I bought it not only for the perks, but for the development and livelihood of the server. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I am online often and I don't like people getting away with things they shouldn't ought to. Plus, the coronavirus pandemic will pretty much free my schedule completely for at least the next half year. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM, (Random Deathmatch) is when a player damages another player until they die, lose all their items, (and possibly the content of their base) and have to respawn setting a two minute NLR timer of where they are not permitted to enter on the map. (Similar to ARDM), RDM should be punished with a warn and explanation of what to do and not do if that situation crosses them again. RDA is when a CP arrests a player for no reason forcing them to either pay bail which adds up after several arrests, or force them to sit in a jail cell where they shouldn't be for an entire two minutes. RDA is more frustrating for a player (in my opinion) and when tickets of it aren't attended to, I have noticed a trend that players revenge RDM because they are frustrated. For this reason, I would respond to a RDA ticket before a RDM ticket however they are both still only warn-able punishments. Mass RDM and mass RDA are more serious. These variations turn a single person angry, to ten people angry and can spur massive gunfights throughout the server as I have noticed. It is mandatory to ban any player who mass RDM and mass RDA for up to two weeks depending on the scale. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR is when a player returns to a place they have previously died in the last two minutes either to wreak havoc, defend items, or talk trash. An instance of this happening would be if a group of mafia members decided to raid the PD. Say I'm a SWAT member and I am killed during the raid and after I die, I walk from spawn to the PD and kill two of the raiders. That would be a case of NLR being broken. Another example would be if I was being raided and during the raid I was killed. After I respawned, I went up to the police chief and told him to send a SWAT team to kill the raiders. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagaming is when a player's character knows information only possibly known out of character and uses it to their advantage. An example of this would be if I, (a CP) am walking down the road and I hear some meth gurgling and I decide to get a warrant because of this. Another example would be if my friend in a discord call tells me, (the mayor) to hide in the prison because he saw a hitman coming. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? I'd turn on my Bandicam and record them, after which I would report this on the forums. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would fly over to the person RDMing, jail them, count the dead from checking the logs, and decide the severity of the ban them based off that. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would kindly ask them to not prop minge, and recommend the hobo class if they want to build outside, (but only on the sidewalk). ʟᴜᴄɪɴᴀ™
Hi Cash The Magician! Thanks for taking interest in becoming staff with Xeno RP! Here are my thoughts on your application: 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 15 overall, one recent, but to be fair, XenoRP was my first RP server where I learned the rules. I didn't know that reading the MOTD was mandatory to have a decent RP experience and to fully grasp the rules, I felt the server out. This gave me lots of insight onto the server's rules and now I have only recently been warned once because of a misunderstanding. I understand that you stated this was the first RP server you've played on and that is why you have 15 warns. But I do want add that that is an extensive amount of warns on a players account that wants to become a staff member. Definitely glad to hear you've minimized the amount of warns you've received recently. Let's try to get that number down to zero! 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: a6) Have you ever been banned? The only issue I have had recently was when the word that rhymes with maggot was banned without notice. I got a warn for that but didn't make the same mistake twice. (To clarify, I am 15) This part worries me. You imply the derogatory term that is associated with homophobia is the reason you were issued a warn. It should be common sense we should not use this word as an insult to anyone online or offline. 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I am online often and I don't like people getting away with things they shouldn't ought to. Plus, the coronavirus pandemic will pretty much free my schedule completely for at least the next half year. It's excellent that you're online and active, but a more detailed reason would be preferred. Provide examples of what makes you different than the other applicants. 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: For this reason, I would respond to a RDA ticket before a RDM ticket however they are both still only warn-able punishments. This section of c1 stands out to me. Just because a player RDM/RDAs doesn't mean a ban or kick cannot be issued out. If the player is failing to show any intent to RP, they can be kicked/banned for NITRP : RDM or RDA 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? I'd turn on my Bandicam and record them, after which I would report this on the forums. For this one, you can go to their superior (Senior Mod/Admin/Owner) and provide them the evidence. This is where you would need to escalate the information for higher ups to handle. 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would fly over to the person RDMing, jail them, count the dead from checking the logs, and decide the severity of the ban them based off that. Mass RDM is a 2 week ban immediately. There's no need to teleport/no clip to that specific player. A jail and ban will suffice. 20 hours ago, Cash The Magician said: d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would kindly ask them to not prop minge, and recommend the hobo class if they want to build outside, (but only on the sidewalk). If the players continued without listening to you.. What would you do? Please provide a more detailed answer. Overall: I've have negative interactions with you on the server. The most recent being that of mic spam a few weeks ago. Conclusion: -1 I do not believe you would be a good fit for the staff team based on your answers and server interactions. Once again, Thanks for applying!
