  1. Your In-Game (RP) name: Morgz Mum Player's In-Game (RP) name: Trinity and Aperino Player's Steam ID: Trinity STEAM_0:0:101350 Aperino STEAM_0:1:174757386 Describe how the player broke the rules: Trinity: Climbed into a car while I was killing him to avoid death. I originally thought he wasn't involved in the megabase so I left him alone but he just came back and killed me at the end. Aperino: Has 3 fading doors on a megabase entrance, with way more than 2 fading windows that are attached to the same button. The 3rd fading door doesn't even have a keypad attached. Have no idea who gave this guy his megabase approval. Also I am aware it is a "ramp" but it blocks the entryway when it's open and you can walk through it, so it is deemed a fading door. Evidence of the player breaking the rules: (I advert raid after entering because it was not me who placed TNT. I was explosive dealer once and someone who bought an explosive from me randomly used it.) https://i.imgur.com/0y1RTM5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/d3nAPcm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6XjQXS3.jpg

Your In-Game (RP) name: Morgz Mum Player's In-Game (RP) name: Namaste Player's Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:156360508 Describe how the player broke the rules: Blatantly used a code he metagamed from last time he may have been partied with us. Admitted to it in chat ("we have old ties"). Also fail rp'd by raiding with 2 terrorists. Evidence of the player breaking the rules:

  4. Or one by me that has instructions beyond that if you really want to get it to play: Not every soundcloud link magically works.
  5. Your In-Game (RP) name: Liz Mum Player's In-Game (RP) name: diputs Player's Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:104572264 Describe how the player broke the rules: Repeatedly partied with terrorists and others he could not party with, as well as owning a base and having more than 3 co-owners on it. Upon me telling him he could not, he essentially told me to fuck off and instead kept doing it. In the first example, he didn't own the party but owned the base. I told the party leader and he kicked him. However in the second he owns both the party and the base and continues to do it anyways, well-aware that it is against the rules. I expect more from a donor who has a whole custom class. EDIT: He is also defending terrorists that aren't even in his party (even though he CANNOT party with them in the first place), as well as also partying with citizens. Oh and he mass RDM'd too. He claims its because people attacked him yet he started shooting right after he came out of spawn, and doublebarreled me in the back when I wasn't near anyone he was trying to kill, and hadn't fired a single shot or anything. Evidence of the player breaking the rules: Racism: https://i.imgur.com/K5cuRAp.png In chronological order: https://i.imgur.com/ddFGCHD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/l2AX1Yq.png https://i.imgur.com/ulnbxwi.jpg https://i.imgur.com/yvlWLkt.png https://i.imgur.com/VbTOnZp.png https://i.imgur.com/NZFRzZk.jpg -- The rest of these are all together, in conjunction with this video. He is not even partied with a terrorist yet defends him. I'm 80% sure that he RDM'd all the other cops trying to arrest the terrorist that wasn't in his party but I don't have exact proof, so don't get him for that as well. The votekick/vote demote I made on him was still valid for the other reasons. The video has been untrimmed except the beginning to show where I pull up the party menu and check who he's partied with, proving he wasnt partied with the terrorist https://i.imgur.com/SHVAcWx.png https://i.imgur.com/QJgwGWZ.png And here's him just mass RDMing straight-out:

Your In-Game (RP) name: Liz Mum Player's In-Game (RP) name: Braydon Odonald Player's Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:512636762 Describe how the player broke the rules: Attempted to crash the server using the old props in bathtub trick, causing severe lag. Once he was votekicked and disconnected props got auto-removed, the lag went away. Evidence of the player breaking the rules: https://i.imgur.com/lw00Hof.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TushpzL.jpg
  7. Your In-Game (RP) name: Liz Mum Player's In-Game (RP) name: I like geetars XD, Black Jesus Player's Steam ID: I like geetars XD: STEAM_0:0:90274717 Black Jesus: STEAM_0:1:23501074 Describe how the player broke the rules: They had a shit ton of entities in their base and the meth cook was selling meth despite having a building sign outside. This had clearly been going on for a while due to how much stuff they had, and the meth cook at least was well aware that the sign was still there because he kept leaving his base to sell meth and going back, where he would have needed to see the sign. There really isn't a lot of evidence against Black Jesus because he disconnected before I raided them as a cop (making any entities he may have had disappear), other than the fact that he owned the base and the props inside the base, making him partially responsible too. Both are at fault collectively. Evidence of the player breaking the rules: https://i.imgur.com/kyVMdFd.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TmGpV7y.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9JrpAv8.jpg
  8. some people want to have others hear the media too but whatever you say
  9. Here's a short guide to get the media player to work. It's annoying, but it can still work. Here are the current requirements to get it to work: Must be on the chromium branch (duh). You can enable this by right-clicking gmod in your Steam library > properties> beta> and then opt-in to the chromium branch The song must be a non-copyrighted song from Soundcloud (usually popular shit doesn't work, nor will songs with the "GO" icon on them work), or a direct audio link (link ending in .mp3, etc). We'll get into how you can do this sooner. Playing Soundcloud: Open the media player and go to browse songs. You will then need to type in the Soundcloud website link (soundcloud.com). From there, search your song, whatever. Once you find your song, you need to click on the share button, and copy the link for the song. Then paste it into the media player and click play from there. Simply going to the song page will not work because the URL does not update on the fly. NOTE: Try not to queue long songs or you will encounter script errors and freezes. Hope it works. If it doesn't, give it a few seconds, if it still doesn't you can try one more time, but beyond that it just won't work. Playing direct audio links: For this method, the auto loop will not work. To replay the song you will need to requeue it manually. If you already have a link ending in .mp3, or .ogg, or something, you can easily pop it into media player and it will play. But if you don't, here's how you can host one using kiwi6. Get your .mp3 file. Doesn't matter from where, just get one, whether you use an online youtube downloader, youtube-dl, etc. Go to https://kiwi6.com/ (with an adblocker!) and make an account, then go to https://kiwi6.com/uploads/new. Upload the .mp3 there. Then copy the "direct hotlink URL" displayed to the right of the screen. Paste it into your browser to test it- it should bring you to a page that is nothing but gray and the audio player- this is your browser's default media player. If it does, paste this into media player and you're good- it will play, guaranteed. If it does not, maybe try reuploading it. This also works for live radio station links, ending in .m3u, .mp3, or .ogg. Yes- media player will stream them live! You can even host your own if you learn how. This is by far the best thing you can probably do if you want uninterrupted audio. I like finding these streams from http://dir.xiph.org/ . You will need to find one that says "ogg vorbis" under it. Once you find one with that, and one you like, right-click the little player thing on the right and click "copy audio location"- the link in your clipboard should end in .ogg. Then paste that into media player! For instance, I like this ambient station: http://radio.108.pl:8006/ambient.ogg . Hope this helps you guys!
  10. a1) What is your in-game (RP) name?: Currently Liz Mum, but it's usually Morgz Mum or Morgz Mum UWU a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile: https://steamcommunity.com/id/setroo/ a3) What is your Discord Tag?: Lance#6805 a4) What timezone are you located in?: EST a5) How many in-game warns do you have?: 12 a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why?: None that I remember (perhaps 1 for hitting warn threshold?), and searching in the ban database just shows me an error. a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where?: I'm not sure how far this question extends. In Gmod I used to be a testmod on a popular TTT server. Outside of Gmod though, I've been moderator in a couple of Discord servers and other communities. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP?: To help out, seriously. I notice that so many chaotic events unfold within even like 10 minutes on the server and I'd love to help deal with them. I believe I have a good grasp on the rules and I can't help but notice myself giving players heads up on rules they are breaking. I just feel like I'm made out for the role. Additionally I'm active a lot during late night hours, aka the purge, when usually no mods are on. I'd love to go on duty during those hours to help fill that no-moderator gap, to help players out and handle tickets. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator?: I would get better from my own experience of course, but I will also closely watch how higher-ups handle specific scenarios. Every ticket is a case-by-case basis, none is exactly the same, so it's important to know how to handle specific situations. Knowing the rules alone wont teach you discretion and other important things that come with being a good moderator. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished: RDM is random deathmatch, where you kill someone without proper reasoning, or for no reason at all. Offenders should be given a verbal warning if they did not intend it and were clearly not aware that it was RDM, but intentional or repeated RDM should lead to a warn. Mass RDM of course is a ban, for at least 2 weeks I believe. RDA is random arrest, arresting someone without proper reasoning, or for no reason at all. Like RDM, if its unintentional or its their first time, the offender should be given a verbal and the victim unarrested. If it's continued or intentional it's a warn. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated.: NLR is new life rule. It states that you cannot return to an area in which you died for a whole 2 minutes, but also states that you cannot return to, say, your base if it is being raided until the entire raid is over; if you return before the 2 minutes is up or while the raid is still ongoing, you are violating it. NLR also states that you cannot remember anything from your previous life, so once you die you forget everything (like who killed you). Beyond just returning, NLR can be violated in other ways, like if someone takes entities from your base in a raid, and as they are leaving with them physgunned, you go and destroy them. A good NLR example is a PD raid. Cops who die in a PD raid cannot return until the raid is over. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence.: Metagaming is the act of acting upon information that your character does not know. You may be aware of information that is displayed on the screen, but your character isn't necessarily aware of that information as well. Metagame can include things like OOC, discord calls, sounds, and more. For instance, you cannot warrant someone because you hear them cooking meth- you would be metagaming if you did that. You would also be metagaming if after arresting a hitman, you pay attention to the little notification that displays at the bottom right and arrest whoever it says placed the hit. And a pretty obvious example of metagame is if a cop arrests someone who killed someone, just by watching the killfeed and not actually witnessing the murder. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react?: Document it by taking screenshots and recordings (shadowplay works well), then send it to whoever is higher in the ranks than them on Discord, like an admin, or if it's a t-mod maybe a modplus or seniormod. Staff report is also an option but I don't see staff making reports on other staff. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation?: Jail them until my current sit is completed, then investigate, and hand out a ban if they really did mass RDM and it was intentional (then request an extension, if applicable). Nobody should ever assume and immediately ban off what they see; it's completely possible that it's not mass and it's something else. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets.: I verbal warn them that they cannot build in streets (even if they are hobo) and need to remove it, and if they refuse I will warn them and remove the props myself (if I have access to remove their props). Even in the case of just 2 people, rules are important. More people can join and it will turn into a huge fiasco.
  11. Your In-Game (RP) name: Liz Mum Player's In-Game (RP) name: Moot and Cousin Player's Steam ID: Moot STEAM_0:1:72442860 Cousin STEAM_0:1:129394337 Describe how the player broke the rules: Both repeatedly harassed me in text and voice chat, as well as through their actions. They repeatedly constructed things in front of my hobo structure entrances after being told several times by the hobo king to not. This had been going on for well over an hour. Moot, on the other hand, also lied to staff and RDM'd people via spawning and shooting a meth stove as meth cook. Evidence of the player breaking the rules: Along with these screenshots, they were given several warns as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cno-aLhyqh4 - shows moot clearly spawning meth stoves and destroying them to RDM, despite lying to staff that he did not (i was physgunning the stove away to not be blown up, btw) https://i.imgur.com/pQdCnTl.jpg - cousin's prop inside my base door, clearly minging, and during the time Rocky (hoboking) told him to not put props there. https://i.imgur.com/X23qCxV.jpg - same thing, moot spawning props in front of base entrance. rocky had also directed him to not. https://i.imgur.com/gJIxo2u.jpg - moot with flags in front of my base, also blocking the entryway https://i.imgur.com/60HIMGK.png - rocky telling moot to remove his flags. moot did not listen to this until he was pressured to by me and other staff. These are not the only instances of them blocking it either. They had media players and radios blocking the entryway to my soccer field as well, including when Cousin built a giant wooden cylinder right in the middle of it. I unfortunately neglected to take screenshots of this though so take that how you will. Not included in these chats is some nasty interactions I had of them that continued for a very long time, like them calling me "f*ggot" and beyond. They had said some of the nastiest things I had ever heard to some of the mods as well. All because they refuse to follow server rules and were pressured into doing so.
  12. Christ this shit pisses me off. Please refrain from posting here unless you have screenshots or something to add. Your opinion is not necessary here, this is not a poll. You were not directly involved so you should not be commenting. Although, I will add, it was not a joke, and your entire reply is ignorant. If you had bothered to read the thread you would read that Snot was asked to stop several times and was aware of the effect his comments had, but admitted he didn't care and continued to make the comments. Not really a joke when your comments do psychological harm or make people feel more insecure. The fact that you said "we are all casually having fun at the expense of others" is literally saying that you also witnessed him harassing her. That's harassment.. you are aware of that right? If your fun negatively impacts someone, ESPECIALLY if you intend to do harm and are aware of what is being done, you are attacking them. And yes, the screenshot does not show he was calling Liz fat and shows dylan doing it, but he did- his chat is there coincidentally. I am not trying to pass off what dylan said as what snot said.
  13. Could users PLEASE be allowed to votekick people for breaking rules if no staff are on duty? NOT if no staff are online. I'm talking about if staff are RP'ing and online but not on duty. At least now, I know I'm technically not supposed to, but I've had several times when I've votekicked people for mass RDM'ing, when no mods are on duty, and mods are RP'ing. I figured it was acceptable to do this to get the user off the server, say, for mass RDM, but I guess not. Yet the mods still cancel the votekick and do not go on duty. Why is this a thing? Users should be able to vote someone off the server if there are no mods on duty, and if those mods are not doing anything to combat the user breaking rules. There's times where someone is mass RDMing and people try to get the mass RDMer votekicked when no mods are on duty, then a mod cancels it. So the dude just continues to mass RDM with no repercussions. Obviously mods can cancel the votekick if it's obviously false. But honestly they shouldn't be using powers to cancel the vote and not go on duty or do anything to handle the issue. And yes, you could make a player report, but that's more annoying than just simply solving the issue right away because you need to document proof and fill out a whole form. It simply is not convenient to file reports like that. Let me know what you think.
  14. These look like they'd be fun, but I have a feeling a lot of people will tell you "tHiS iS cLAsSic DarkRP aNd We WilL KeEp It ThAt WaY" despite the fact that non-classic stuff has been added before.
  15. a. thats annoying b. i dont think thats how hits work currently, if memory serves it hides the press e thing if the hitman has a hit. the only time it will tell you that if you're in the menu is if someone places a hit and the hitman accepts while you're still in the menu.
  16. ok but why
  17. 18. How is it not scam? He didn't have the money when he adverted the reward. It doesn't matter if he didn't know you couldn't buy money. You actually sort of can, it's a reward for donating- perhaps he should just keep donating to get that amount. But nobody with good intentions and whom is actually going to pay up is going to advert the reward first without actually having the amount. This of course is all ignoring the fact that the advert didn't specify successful. Sure, it's the 'ackshully' shit, but if it can be interpreted as meaning a successful raid, it can also be interpreted as just attempting to raid. "Most people" does not account for all people, and "most people" would consider snot's behavior to be scamming. And most people would be held accountable for not knowing that you couldn't "buy money". His "intentions" are bullshit. At no point in the sit or confrontation did he ever explain any of this, that he would buy the money after the raid. Then suddenly after he gets banned, he says that he didn't know he couldn't buy money? Seems like a lie he constructed during the few hours he was banned. It honestly doesn't matter if you don't like the raid base for money thing. It is allowed, it's been happening, and it happened. You are free to put in place a rule to prevent this, but opinion is far from resolution. This case should be treated as seriously as any other case because raiding for money is a concept accepted by nearly the entire server. If it actually is FailRP, I have never seen any staff member do anything about it. I've even seem staff members adverting it themselves as well. The player disrespect should not be separate from this thread, I don't see why it would be. This thread is once again mostly an appeal for his unban. He deserves to do time for at least the disrespect and harassment he has caused. He is not being held accountable for anything here when he so very clearly had nothing but bad intentions in the game. As stated in the previous reply he even admitted he had bad intentions and didn't care. Likely nothing will be done about this because you are the owner and your decision is the one that matters the most. But the least you can do is show some empathy for us. You are very rarely on the server and do not notice, and did not notice firsthand, the abuse players like snot bring to the community. You have access to chatlogs (most likely) and can investigate in-depth the entire situation and see the way he treats me, Liz, and pretty much the entire server except his friends. By no means do I mean any disrespect to you. But I seriously am losing it with the amount of toxicity that exists because admins and owners alike allow it to. There is documented proof of this ongoing, and there are moderators who have witnessed this abuse and carelessness firsthand, yet the benefit of the doubt is being given to someone who clearly gives no fucks about anyone. I rest my case. It's up to you to reban him or not. But it will sure as hell set a precedent for the future of the server and the environment of it.
  19. Not to reiterate but that doesn't really matter in this case. He didn't have 100 mill to begin with so even if the raid was successful he wouldn't have paid it out. Even so he didn't specify that the raid had to be successful. Even if he's excused for the scam part, he was still minging and repeatedly harassing users after being constantly asked to stop, and even warned for it. He was even brought to a sit for it and openly admitted that he didn't care and would continue to do it. EDIT: I just noticed you extended your reply. Ness was there and was involved. This is not just a random reply from him.
  20. Your In-Game (RP) name: Morgz Mum UWU Player's In-Game (RP) name: snot Player's Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:163626403 Describe how the player broke the rules: Scamming and minge, but was unbanned for it. This is an appeal for his unban. He deserves to face a punishment to put him in line. I don't know how snot was unbanned. He was consistently harassing me and others, especially Liz. These were personal attacks and not just him talking shit, like when he made insults calling Liz overweight and saying that she was male. Whiteknight or not, haha, whatever, but these insults are not things you should say to anyone. It does nothing short of disgust me to see that there are people like this still active in the community. And to see that he isn't even being punished at all? Pathetic. We asked him several times to stop and to not be toxic. He continued and didn't care. He was muted for this and warned by staff prior to his ban. This went on for about 2 hours. In addition to this he also attempted to, and did, scam people. He adverted "100 mill to raid us", and did not give the money up when my party member raided him- he never said that it had to be a successful raid (we didn't fail the raid and are making this report out of spite- my party member adverted raid and called it off). Despite the technicalities here, he didn't even have 100 million, meaning it would still be a scam if we DID successfully raid. It shocks me how this user has barely faced punishment for his actions. He should at LEAST face a week as he very clearly scammed/attemped to scam. But he wasn't even banned for 24 hours. This is ridiculous. No user should be allowed to be such a toxic member of the community. Evidence of the player breaking the rules: Considering he was already banned, it has already been proven that he has broken rules. He deserves at LEAST a week for his behavior. All I have on hand is this screenshot. I am hoping the chat logs will serve to prove that snot has been nothing but toxic to us and others in the community: https://i.imgur.com/b4va8jH.png
  21. Attachments would be cool, if they are persistent. I'm not going to use them if I have to equip them every damn time I spawn or take the weapon out. +1 for that. +1 for kidnap and arrest prevention in spawn. Crafting really has no place in Dark RP. There is no way people are going to put in that much labor to sell items, especially since there's always the possibility of losing all your shit due to a server crash or other issues. Meth is sort of crafting, but doesn't have the "customer" aspect. That aspect multiplies it. If you take into account that 99% of the server will self supply anyways then there really is no place for this. You also have to think of the fact that no non-cop has access to armor to begin with. -1 for mining system changes -1 for perks. Cars are already super fast. What we need are more cars and job cars.
  22. This would be useless, because you could still tell if a hitman has a hit or not based on whether or not it shows the "press E to place a hit". Would also be a bad idea because you wouldn't be able to tell if the hitman is available or not, and would waste time walking up to him to place a hit only to see that you cannot. The entire hit system should be reworked. I don't know how much dedication devs are willing to put but I'm thinking of some type of "network" where players can request contracts and hitmen can pick which contracts to accept. This completely removes the need for a "press E to place a hit", removes metagame experiences based on hits, and would in turn remove the text above head too.
  23. Removing weapons would help with issues of RDM. That's essentially the kind of point you're making.
  24. +1, drives me absolutely insane having to keep clicking, especially with a cooldown between buying each. I suggested this to staff once and got laughed at. Who's laughing now?
