I do have prior staffing experience. I was a moderator on a Metro Last Light RP server which my friend who was the owner, Mr. Bones. (Keep in mind I hadn’t known him before I applied.
Please answer these questions with your honest opinion.
b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP?

I’m active a lot, and  see mods not able to get on at the times I’m on. This creates a dead zone for mingle activity, and I just genuinely like the server. I’d like to keep it a nice place.

b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator?

I’m a good leader, and will take initiative in the way we know is right. I make sure to respond to those in need as quick as possible. I’m also pretty experienced management wise. I like to see things from two points of view to get the full image as well.
Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions:

c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished.

RDM is an abbreviation for “Random Death Match” and occurs when a player randomly kills another with no reason. This could occur when someone simply shoots a player and kills them. This could also happen if a player is killed in a crossfire, and the killer doesn’t advert “Crossfire.” A single count of RDM will result in a warning of the killer if enough evidence is produced.

RDA stands for “Random Arrest” and can occur if police don’t abide by the law, attempting to bypass it and arresting the player anyway. This can also occur by simply arresting someone because you feel like it. This will also result in a warn, and possibly a forced demotion.

c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated.

NLR or “New Life Rule” means after you die, say in a raid or a mugging, you cannot go back and prevent it or get revenge as you’re in a “new life” and shouldn’t remember any of what had happened previously. Other examples are if you get killed by a hitman, and you respawn and revenge RDM them (Killing someone because they killed you prior).

c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence.

Metagaming can occur when a user uses information from out of character such as a call out of a dead friend during a raid, or reading OOC chat in an attempt to find throngs about about a player and using it to your advantage.
Please explain how you would handle each of these situations:
d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react?

Report them on the forums immediately after telling them to stop.

d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation?

If no other moderator has grabbed him, bring and jail him until my sit is done. Afterwards, hand him a hard two week ban. (Thank you dor correcting me! I’m always open for correction. It helps a lot.)

d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets.

Tell them if they’d like to build in the streets, switch to a hobo and build on the sidewalk or delete their props in the road and carry on. And if they don’t comply, bring them to a sit and ask them to delete their props. If they continue to not comply, warn them and delete their props on my own.

Hello Tex,

Thanks for taking interest in becoming staff on Xeno.

Below are the notes I have regarding your moderator application.

You gave the definitions of each one but did not state how a player should be punished for committing either act.

If no other moderator has grabbed him, bring and jail him until my sit is done. Afterwards, hand him a temporary ban of 3 days to a week.

Mass RDM is an auto 2 week ban.

Nobody is allowed to build in the streets, including hobos.

Conclusion:

Overall, the rest of your application is decent. I'm going to give a -1 for the time being unless you change the mistakes mentioned above.

Again,

Thanks for applying!

Luci
