[IFN] Mike Hawk Small [TM]
a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Mike Hawk Small a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/id/thetylert/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) DrunkYaBoiTyler#4252 a4) What timezone are you located in? EST (Eastern Standard Time) a5) How many in-game warns do you have? Zero warns a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? Nope a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Currently at IFN as a trial-mod. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I'd like to volunteer for multiple reasons. To help lessen the load on the staff by helping take tickets I've played enough on this server for quite some time and would like to give back to the staff and community I'd like to help this server stay clean of rule breakers, we all love coming onto non-toxic server To be on the server when other staff aren't on, as I notice half the time when I'm playing there are 3+ staff on and none are dealing with tickets or on duty which hurts ticket times, etc b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? Well I have no warns, no bans, and I can follow the rules. I know the rules and keep myself updated on them. I do a lot of base building and raiding so I know what to do and what not to do so it can transfer over to dealing with sits. I have prior experience with staffing, I've had a few of my own personal servers (not really much), and I'm currently a trial-moderator on IFN. (This will not interfere with staffing on this server.) I don't favor anyone, especially not friends which helps handing out the proper punishments if needed. I'm level headed and have been in sits before so I can understand other players frustration and anger. I use proper evidence which is primarily screenshots of logs, and medal.tv clips, which allows for my evidence to be sufficient enough when handing out any punishments. I'd like to help the staff, and help out this community to a better and brighter future. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is random death match and is when someone kills for no rp reason or any reason whatsoever. The punishment is usually a jail for the first few offences as long as it is not MRDM, all depends on the protocols taken by the staff team. RDA is random arrest and is when a cop arrests someone when that person is not breaking any laws, attempting to murder anyone, etc. The punishment for this is usually also a jail for the first few offences and also all depends on protocols. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR is new life rule, where a player comes back within the "x" amount of time they shouldn't return to where they last died. An example is someone getting killed for running away from a mugging, then the player continues to run back to the exact spot they died within the 120 second NLR. Another example is getting killed during a raid and returning to the raid right after dying before the raiding player adverts the raid to an end. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagaming is using information beyond your RP characters knowledge. Such as: Gathering information from OOC (out of character) to raid/kill/etc Using the kill feed to find and kill someone who killed your friend or someone else Using chats such as steam chat, discord, etc and getting information from a friend after they died, etc which could lead to revenging your friend. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? Report it directly to a head admin, or any higher up for that matter. Try to include video recording, logs, etc. You may attempt to confront the person abusing their powers, but sometimes that can go worse than better. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? You can freeze the person mass RDM'ing, and attempt to get another staff member to deal with the situation. If that's not a readily available option let the current sit know that you will quickly have to deal with a severe problem, deal with the person who committed MRDM and go back to the sit prior to the issue. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. Ask them to kindly refrain from building in the streets as that's not allowed. If they don't listen after several warnings take the necessary actions to punish the offenders, along with removing their props. You could also ask them if they're not hobos kindly to switch over to hobos, and tell them they can build outdoors, but not specifically on the streets. Rules are still rules. Lolagaf
This is a great looking application. I am very impressed by the professionalism. The only thing that worries me is your tmod status on a seperate server. You say will not interfere, but I beg to disagree. You've got a +1 from me, but just a fair warning it takes more time than you think to be a moderator for this server. Link to comment
EpicMonkeyBaby
+1 You are pretty active, solid staff app, no warns or bans, etc. Link to comment
Parslee
+1 Great app, A lot of activity as of late, no warns or bans, Only issues is that you are current staff on another server, which could affect the differences in rules, and the little experience you do have, but I feel as if Xeno Staff could very easily help you. I see you as a great up and coming mod. Hope to see you on this weeks staff team. -Parslee Link to comment
