Getting demoted as mayor, if I remember correctly, requires you to be killed by a Hitman. Even if a Hitman raid-assisted a PD raid, going by that night's players, they'd be up against the Mayor, two juggernauts, two SWATs, a couple of cops, and three Batmen. And the Hitman would have to be the one who gets the finishing blow on the Mayor. It's not impossible, but it's simply not attainable consistently, so there's no decent check against tyrannical mayors.

Wish it were that easy, but as I said, that becomes near-impossible when there's many PD members and the Mayor spends the entire time locked in the back of the police department. Last night, this happened, and the Mayor stayed alive for literal hours while having laws like "No gun licenses", "No bail", "all guns are illegal", and "random weapon checks are illegal". Nobody could get close enough to PD to even see the guy, nevermind kill him. The Mayor eventually got bored-- after like three hours-- and walked around outside, but he had full armor and was always accompanied by two Juggernauts and several SWAT members and thus was still nearly untouchable. He was never even killed as far as I know, just got bored and switched jobs after like five hours, during which time if you had a gun anywhere near the downtown area you were immediately arrested. I know that Votedemote can be abused, but I think in the longrun not having it causes a lot less fun overall for the people who aren't cops. It got to the point that one member of the police was begging people to commit crimes but nobody was, because there was no point since there were so many cops that getting away with it would be impossible and the mayor was untouchable.

I made lifelong friends, and had an extremely good time. Now that Xeno is up and running again, I'd love to help it grow once more. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? -- On top of my plethora of experience-- having moderated for Garry's Mod RP servers since it was called LightRP-- I've been told I am a very fair, chill, and pleasant moderator who knows exactly how to interpret the rules and dole out punishment as needed. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. -- RDM is Random Deathmatch, in which a player kills (or attempts to kill-- ARDM) another player for no valid RP reason. RDA is the same concept, standing for Random Arrest, in which a member of the PD arrests a player for no valid RP reason. On first or second infractions, depending on the situation, I would almost always issue a Warn. On third and above infractions, I would usually issue a 2-week ban for Mass RDM or Mass RDA. But again, context is everything, so depending on the situation the punishment may be slightly different. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. -- NLR is the New Life Rule. Once you are killed in a valid RP manner, you may not return to that area for 120 seconds (2 minutes). In the instance of RP events such as Raids or PD Raids, you may not return to the raid until the raid is concluded if you are killed in one. For example, if one is being raided and is killed, one may not return to their base until the raid is over. In a PD Raid, when police officers are killed, they likewise cannot return to the PD until the raid has concluded. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. -- Metagaming, put simply, is using information gained outside of RP to help yourself in RP situations. For example, this could mean issuing a warrant to a Meth Cook because you hear meth cooking noises inside of their house, or using text/voice chat to check who is in a base before you raid it. It could also involve third-party software, like Discord-- telling your friend where you are in Discord so they can help you out, or similar situations. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? -- I record as much evidence as possible, and post it on the forums in the Report A Staff Member folder. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? -- If no other staff are available, I would immediately jail and deal with the Mass RDMer before returning to my earlier sit. If necessary, I would jail the person I'm in a sit with. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. -- Unfortunately, the rules still apply no matter how many people are online. I would suggest to the players that they switch to Hobo and build on the sidewalks. If they continue despite my warnings, I would issue warns as necessary. Thanks for reading my application! The title says it all, really! I can understand why it may have been removed-- I've seen people vote demote for complete BS reasons, but that's what !stopvote is for on the Moderation side of things. In my opinion, it makes a lot of RP sense to be able to "impeach" a mayor, and it prevents situations where a full PD has full reign of the entire server while the Mayor stays secluded in the PD, untouchable by Hitmen. Of course they would have to be demoted for a valid in-RP reason, but I think it makes RP sense, isn't too easily abusable, and would make the quality of life for non-PD a lot better.

You've broken plenty of rules and I've personally warned you many times. However, I think it's obvious you've been making a real effort, and it's been almost two weeks since you were last warned. You're extremely active and you know the rules well. Errors in Application Honestly, none I could find. Some of your punishments could be a little more specific, but it's not a huge deal. I think this is an exceptional application that you put a lot of effort into over the last few days (as I've seen you on and off the forums making this topic several times recently). Pros Knows the rules very well, genuinely cares about the server, hasn't been warned in a couple weeks, great application, really cool person. Cons Absolutely hilarious number of warns and bans, which still weren't that long ago. Conclusion Your bans and warns obviously give me pause, and you certainly have a bit of a history and reputation on Xeno that make me hesitant. That being said, I've spoken to you several times recently, and I think you've been making a real, genuine effort to change your ways. It's been longer than usual since you were last warned for sure. Errors in Application a5) Actually, five times. c1) Mass RDM and Repeated RDM are a little different and have different punishments, and what you described could be either. c2) The NLR timer doesn't apply to raids, you simply cannot come back until the raid is over. You also cannot interact at all with your killer for 120 seconds. Pros Not a bad application in terms of substance. Haven't been banned in a while. Cons Bans are concerning, despite how long ago they were. Only seen you once, and it was very recent. Application is sloppy from a formatting standpoint. Conclusion I think I'd like to see you on a bit more before you should be accepted as a moderator.

Hi, I'm the one who banned you. Here's what actually happened. First, I made you change your extremely invalid KOS sign that said "KOS IF RETARDED, A FURRY, A N-, RAIDING". You changed it to "KOS IF INSIDE OR A MOD". I made you change that too, and you finally relented. For this reason, I let you get off without a Warn. You were later jailed by ripple, and claimed in OOC that it was because you were black, so I muted you. You proceeded to spam your incredibly loud fading door, which I warned you for. When you were finally unjailed, you created a ticket that read "UNMUTE ME YOU RETARDS". I brought you, explained that because of your attitude I would not be unmuting you yet. You then left and rejoined to circumvent the mute. I banned you for LTAP (leaving to avoid punishment), and put Minge in there too and tacked on a couple days because I thought it was necessary. -1 The mayor being allowed to commit crimes and be corrupt opens so many cans of worms regarding other classes, like the police. I think this is completely unneeded and only serves to complicate roleplay and make the CPs into glorified thieves.
