your dads grill
a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Your dad's grill a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198118060934/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) A. Garza #6794 a4) What timezone are you located in? CST a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 0 a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? Yes, don't know why. I'm guessing it was a mistake since I appealed it and it was removed in a day. a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Yes, I administrated for Urban Gamers for a few years before it went down. I know the commands pretty well, and the rules even better. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I have enough free time to dedicate to a server again and I like playing on XenoRP, being a T-Mod would help me help y'all b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I have patience where it's needed and I can deal with a kid swearing at my face pretty well, I like to have fun and socialize with players so I think I get along pretty alright with the majority of the active part of the server already, I think social skills are probably one of the best qualities any staff member can have. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is Random Death Match, this happens when a player kills another player for no reason or an unjustified reason. I.E. Vengeance (also breaks NLR). I would personally warn the player through the warns system for RDM and, depending on the amount of RDMs/previous offences, I would jail the person for a set amount of time. Back when I was Admin we used to jail for 300 seconds for RDM. RDA is RanDom Arrest, this happens when a LEO arrests someone for an unjustified reason or no reason at all. I usually give verbal warnings if these things happen through confusion, but I would give a real warn if the arrest was completely unwarranted. If the person is a repeat offender, I would probably jail them for 300 seconds (as per UG). I understand that some of the punishments for players might be different, more lenient, or more strict, and I'm willing to adapt to the server's rules, but I usually tend to give punishment where it's due. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR is New Life Rule. The rule proclaims that at the time a player dies, he must forget everything about his past life. This rule may be broken when a player goes right back to the area where he died, or if he attacks his killer. I would personally warn the player through the system and if he's a repeat offender then I'd jail him for 120 seconds. For raids, NLR is either the 2 minutes mark or the end of the raid, whichever comes last. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagame is the action of taking knowledge from outside the game and applying it into the RP. This can be done via discord calls, I.E. when two players are basing together and one of them informs the other that the base is being broken into without having a camera. That would be metagame. In a more serious aspect (according to me) a police officer arrests a person/kills a person over a kill log without being there. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? I would first take a screenshot or video of the abuse, I'd ask the higher up what he's doing and see if he has an explanation, if he continues to do so I would inform his supervisor. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would automatically jail the Mass RDMer and ask for another staff member to take care of it, if there was no other staff member I'd pause the sit and issue a ban or keep the player jailed until someone that can ban him/her gets on. After jailing the player/banning the player I would return to the sit. d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would ask the two players to become hobos in order to build on the side walk or I'd ask the players to get into a base and build there. Edited September 22, 2019 by your dads grill Link to comment
