  1. Hello, Like all other signs you cannot see them unless up close which you should have done before you adverted raid. You also had to go up them stairs where you claimed you couldn't see the KOS sign (below) to come in and kill me. I feel since it was an honest mistake from your part and you actually care about your warn status on the server I would be happy to withdraw the warn.
  2. MFW the real slim shady is actually John Denver’s this whole time.
  3. You can see the KOS sign at any point. You need to go close (to an area that STILL ISN'T KOS) to read the contents but it is VERY blatantly obvious that you can see it. The player never shot anyone in the admin sit and if they did I didn't notice due to the 6+ people all in the base when they shouldn't have been, talking at once in the base it got very confusing. The mod can speak up if they decide to. I didn't go against myself in this situation, I explained to every complaint you have with a reason. Thanks, Lewis.
  4. You can see the sign if you walk UP to the lip not on it. Which is clearly visible.
  5. From the top. You can blatantly see the sign from where you are standing just as you pictured for us above(1). Now this isn't in the same place because at the time of me taking the image someone had the exact location. However it still uses the same garage door. As you can see in this screenshot (2) you can easily see the example KOS sign BEFORE you enter the property this is exactly how the player had it setup. At the time of me telling everyone this, this was indeed an admin sit and I was telling him that he could kill everyone in the room (if it wasn't a sit) but he knew not to since it was an admin sit at no time was I telling him to kill everyone, I was giving him an example that he could. Regarding the tossing all the players around before telling them to leave that is a blatant lie. I was loudly informing everyone that this is an admin sit and they shouldn't be interacting with the gun dealer while I am talking to him. I started tossing people out with my physgun and talking to them individually that it is an admin sit and that they need to leave. After about 10 minutes when everybody left the base and went to the sidewalk 4 different people got warned by myself and another mod for prop minging as they were spamming text screens all over the base. And the last bit regarding the mod who told me that it was ok, no I will not say their name unless they want to reply to this thread themselves as you "like a chat with them" is completely irrelevant unless the chat is replying to this thread. They heard nothing of the story and had no POV all they saw was the KOS text screen. (1) (2)
  6. So bit by bit, Sponge had broken the rules and he was mingeing ruining other players RP I didn't want to go on duty as I was mayor so I brought him to me so he would stop mingeing and asked Moo if she could handle the sit while I had him away from other the players(1). At the time I was under the impression that law number 6 was not against the rules, in fact it is a grey area as freedom of speech is not stated anywhere in the rules. As soon as it was criticized by another moderator I straight away asked a higher up member of staff as moderators can give their opinion to other moderators/trial moderators but in the end we are the same rank which is why I went to 3 different admins and a senior moderator and in the end agreed that since it isn't stated anywhere to do or not to do it, that it won't be done in the future which I am now aware of. The only reason I made it a law in the first place was due to the fact that it is against the law in many countries. The law number 7 occurred during a lockdown which was when all cops would be coming back to the PD. If someone was in PD they can run to either of the tunnels in just about 10 seconds and no officers would be over in that area or they would be failrping since they had to come to the PD. (1)
  7. Hey bud. So without being inside the base or fear of being KOS you can blatantly see the sign. First of you can see if very easily without going near the base as you have shown in the image. If you walk up to the lip you can see the text saying KOS if entering. In the regards to me telling you to shutup there was a sit between me, one other person and the base owner and around 6-7 people all came over and started talking at once, this was blatantly not RP and they were all told to back away and be quiet as this had nothing to do with them at this moment it time. I am only trial however a moderator who is no longer in trial agreed with me and did more investigating ingame and he agrees with what I said. He took screenshots and may reply to this thread. Thanks, Lewis.
  8. a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? Brian Knoss a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/id/CuriousGamerFTW a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) CuriousGamerFTW◢◤#0001 a4) What timezone are you located in? UTC+0 (GMT+0) a5) How many in-game warns do you have? 0 :) a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? Nope :) a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? In regards to Garry's Mod DarkRP I have been high level management on Hyplex which was the first and the longest network I have been with. I stayed with them for around 2-3 years and was it where I spent most of my time learning from other very experienced staff members skills like community management, de-escalation skills and personal skills on how to hold my own in a sit with toxic players and be as unbiased as I can possibly be. One of my favorite skills that I learnt was my people skills more specifically training a lot of staff members to become the best that they can possibly be. I have been entry level management on 2 other servers which the names of them escape me as I have been playing gmod for years and years and years. If needed to I can try my best to find out which servers they were if they are still online. I am unsure whether you would find this relevant or not but these are experience from other games which I can imagine the skills will be universal. I am a coowner of a network called Perkelle that I have been running with my friend for over 6 years that is currently focused on minecraft but will be expanding to rust in the near future. I have been an administrator of multiple CS:GO community servers. I have moderated multiple different ARMA 3 servers also. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I would love to volunteer for this server because it has a really good set of staff already here also the devs really know their lua because I really like the custom unique features to the server e.g. the bitcoin miners and custom cars. I think that my input can make the server a better place than it already is, I am in quite a specific timezone in the quieter times of the server and there are either no or little staff on and honestly the more good members of staff the better as it lightens the load of tickets off all the current staff's shoulders. With all of my lengthy previous history with being management on servers I think that there will be (obviously not including the custom stuff) little to no training needed if you decide to hire me on as I have been on many different servers with many different administrative mods. I think also with me having no warns or bans to my name and being quite well known with a lot of people that player on the same timezone as me it is quite apparent that and very good at fitting into different communities and adjusting to their rules if they are slightly different. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I am very dependable to moderate the server even when I have done all that is expected of me. For example I hear mods have to do 50 reports a week I would complete all those then dedicate the rest of my week with half to my own RP and half to the reports unless there are no other staff on and I would be on duty 24/7 while i'm RPing. I work as a store supervisor at a 9-5 job at a UK game/dvd/hardware company called CeX so with my hours being specific I am pretty dependent on being consistently active on the network Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is when someone kills someone with no RP reason to do so. For example if someone walked up to you and said "hey watch this" then proceeded to shoot you in the teeth that is RDM RDA is when someone arrests someone for no RP reason to do so.. For c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR means the same thing but can be defined by different instances. For example if you go back to your base after you die from a raid before they advert over that is NLR. If you remember someone doing something and then you die and go and kill them for something you did before you died that is NLR. NLR timer on the server is 120 seconds but a base raid is excempt from that timer and you have to wait for them to finish. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Meta gaming is when you give out RP information through other means of RP (i.e. discord, OOC etc etc.) with the intent of giving it to someone to use in an RP situation. It is also if you are on the receiving end and you are told by a friend that someone just killed you and you are around the corner and have no in game knowledge and kill that person. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? Since it would be staff's word against staff's word (if there is nothing in the logs) I would get evidence of them doing it and then confront the staff member if they are actively still abusing and it is affecting players in that moment in a closed off private admin area where no players can hear then provide evidence DIRECTLY to THEIR higher up staff member. If they aren't affecting players in that moment I would just give the evidence to their higher up since there is no need for a confrontation. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? First thing I would do is JailTP them to myself in my sit then ask them if they have a quick explanation for killing the people depending on how quick it is to resolve I would resolve that first then continue to my other sit. If they didn't have a valid reason and start mic spamming I would leave them jailed and mute them and carry on with my sit as I would provide my attention to players with intent to RP rather than someone with no intent. If the person leaves while I am helping that sit I would copy their steamID into a notepad. After my sit has finished I would then put my attention to the MassRDMer d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. The rules are there for a reason regardless of how many players are on. I would tell them that they shouldn't be building in the streets regardless if they are both fine with it as another player may connect to the server and be confused and immediately think the server was a bad one to join. I would then suggest better places for them to build at as a "hey you can't build here but you can try over here instead" instead of "hey you can't build there stop that" Thank you for reading my application and I hope you find the formatting easier to read as there is lots of text :D ~ Lewis
