-1 Pros: Semi-Active in both Discord & Server Last warn was over 5 months ago Cons: Very toxic to both Staff & Players. Your attitude in almost all sits have left me with a terrible impression, and I don't want players getting that experience from staff members. Every error in the application that I can see has been stated by Waltz. Recent minge ban, within about a month. Conclusion: If you can genuinely change your attitude in-game, and show that you can be a good role model to players in both sits and RP I could see you as a staff member. Stay active, don't get warned/banned and be nicer and we'll see.

-1 I usually do pro/cons, but most I was going to say has been said already waltz. The application seems to be very low-effort, and the second you got a response you started having a tantrum in the discord. Discord Issues Issues #2

can't you just have one side no-collided and one side solid? Removing this rule would cause a ton of issues with rule conflictions. This would be a bigger issue than would improve the server imo -1

-1 Pros: Active In-Game No Bans Cons: Recently Warned c1 Punishments are off, we don't kick for RDM c2 doesn't really explain nlr, but does give an instance of it being violated c3 is incorrect d1 is semi-correct d2 is mostly incorrect Seen some minor minge from you in-game Conclusion: I don't see you super fit for staff. Your application seems rushed, you've been minorly mingey in-game while spectating you and you've been recently warned.

A couple of things admins could do better on.

I really like this thread! It's super well-written, and I agree with a lot of sentiments other than "be on duty more than off duty." While I feel like the duty of being mod is lost on some people, most mod joined the staff team because they enjoy the server, and wish to help it out, rather than just sit on mod all day. We joined the server to rp, and we became staff to help people rp as well as rp ourselves. There are definitely some mods that can be more observant, but at the end of the day, like you said, people that play gmod are cringe kids, edgy teens and man children. We are not exempt from that. I also agree on the ideas of being nicer on newer players. When I was a new player, I had NO clue what I was doing. I made blackout bases, bases that made you jump, and all kinds of things. I try to give verbals to people I don't know, as well as newer players, but it is all at the jurisdiction of the mods. I'm pretty sure he knows, and that's why he specified "when mods are on." This is a great post! This is definitely something I think most staff should read through, input from the community is awesome! -
-1 Warned the day the application was up.

you don't need one. Just open soundcloud in any normal browser, look up the song you want, then copy+past the share URL for the song you want. There are songs that you can't play, but it seems only to affect a few.

Neutral (Leaning +1) You're very active and seem to know the rules. I've had a few negative interactions, but I haven't had one in a little while. You seem to be minging less and I think your heart is in the right place. You could grow into a great staff member.
-
+1 I've had my issues with you in the past, but none of them were very server-related. You're an exceptional staff member, and you know what you're doing. I would love to see you on the team.

Nuetral (Leaning -1) You seem relatively active, and I've had to help you with some rules a few times. I would like to see you on a little more actively, as well as using Voice Chat a little more so I get to know you better, but you seem to be improving. Everything else I would want to say has already been said.

my first ever game was Lego Batman when I was like 7-8, but then I stopped playing videogames until like 2012 when I got mincraft and terraria

Hi Chanel! I ended up banning you for NITRP | MINGE as the night went on after many reports I had on you. Throughout the day, you had minged with multiple groups that entered the server, hence why you got warned for it. I warned during a sit that I was close to banning you due to your actions, and you didn't listen. I ended up getting footage from another player that was of you Silently kidnapping him, and you attaching the kidnap thing to a skybox. Someone told you to stop, you said you could take the other warn. I brought you to a sit, explained what you did wrong, and you told me to ban you because you didn't care. This made me worsen the ban from 3 to 5 days, and I ended up banning you for 6 because of the slider. However, the ban is still justified. You also proceeded to harass me in my discord DMs as well as in VC once it had concluded. As for the messages, I did not see them. I was being flooded with tickets, and I am truly sorry that I missed the messages. I would have definitely punished the player, so if you have screenshots, a fellow staff member or myself can punish them. I am very confused about the racist part. If you have any, please provide screenshots. However, regarding your DMs, I am deciding to not post the DM publicly and will be sending them to my Admin.

+1 yeah don't really have anything to add, it would give an incentive for returning player to play something other than pro thief / thief
-
This server is trying really hard to be close to vanilla, and dog / cat roles are just bad citizens -1
-
his response is just straight-up not true lol. The owners haven't gotten a response from their host, not that they were rejected. The ticket just hasn't been responded to.
-
Yep, been down for a few hours. One of the owners have submitted a ticket to their hosting service, but hasn't gotten anything back yet (as of right now). Should be up soon, though.

a1) What is your in-game (RP) name? ripple a2) Provide a link to your Steam profile. https://steamcommunity.com/id/rippleyyy/ a3) What is your Discord Tag? (ie: SomeUser#1234) ripple#0001 a4) What timezone are you located in? PST a5) How many in-game warns do you have? None. a6) Have you ever been banned? If so, explain why? No. a7) Do you have any prior staffing experience? If so, where? Yes. I was staff on here for about 6-8 months, about 1-2 years ago. (I say 6-8 months because I was relatively inactive for about a month before my proper resignation.) I have also had a few, albeit minor staffing positions. I was the head moderator for about 8 months on a now-down TTT server about 4 years ago, and I staffed on a few mc servers in my time gone. Please answer these questions with your honest opinion. b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP? I would love to return to the staff team due to a new interest in GMOD again, and this has been my favorite DarkRP server since I first joined 2 years ago. The community has always been very accepting, and the staff have been reasonable. However, as of recent, and due to quarantine, I have found myself on the server during peak hour with no staff members on. I think this is probably due to time zone issues, but I would love to be able to help out on the server. I also would love to return as a staff member, and meet all these new faces on the staff team. I would love to be able to introduce new places to the server, and to generally help out the server during these tough times. I will always feel like I belong here, on the staff team or not. b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator? I believe I would make a valuable member of the staff team due to history with the server, and due to me knowing the server's rules by heart. I know the server in and out, and know of all the little nuances and other things with the rules. I can control my temper, and handle high-octane situations well, especially when the server can get heated at some times. I also can connect with most normal players, knowing how to chill out and make a few jokes. There are many friends I have taken from the server, staff team or no. Having a bridge with the community and staff team is vital for having a server that has a decently longevity (an issue the server hasn't really had an problem with, but still). I understand that I had a bit of a phase after my staffing had concluded where I became a little mingy. Never enough to get warned or banned, but enough to be a shitter and a thorn in the side of the staff team. I'm genuinely sorry for it, and I don't really have an excuse for it. All I can really say is that I have changed, and show you with my behavior in-game. There isn't a whole lot my words can do here, so I'm leaving it here. Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions: c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished. RDM is Random Death Match, and RDA is Random Arrest. RDM is where a player kills another player without and RP reason to do so, and RDA is when a player arrests another player without a RP reason to do so. Punishment for both would depend on the situation, and the player. If it was a new player, I would give them a verbal warning, and let them know to read through the MOTD. I would also try to help them get a good grasp on how the game works, if they need any extra help. However, depending on the player, and their background it could result in an in-game warn, or worse. If it is repeated RDM / RDA on the same person, I would probably ban them for a week for Repeated RDM/RDA. If it was en masse, I would ban for 2 weeks for Mass RDM/RDA. c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated. NLR stands for New Life Rule. The New Life Rule dictates that anyone who dies in a certain area or activity cannot return there in a certain period of time, 2 minutes for most areas of the game, and that they cannot reference any information from a previous life. However, for certain activities, there may be some specific rules. For example, for Raids / PD Raids. For those activities, if you die in that activity, you cannot return to that area until it has concluded, and the 2 minute time period has passed. c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence. Metagaming is where you do something you wouldn't do in an RP situation, or where you break RP to gain something over someone else. For example, if I were planning to raid a base, I can't die around it to try to see inside of it. Another example is where I would be getting kidnapped or mugged, I can't use the kill command in console to get out of it. The most common (imo) would be the VC scenario. This is where multiple players are in a voice chat, and a player gets killed/gets mugged/ kidnapped, and that player tells the other players in the call where and who is doing this to them; resulting in those players going there and killing the person that attacked the other player. Metagaming often results in warns, but can also often result in NITRPO (No Intent To Roleplay) or Minge bans. Please explain how you would handle each of these situations: d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react? I would record it or take screenshots, then report it to my higher-up. I would also try to damage-control the situation, and make sure too many player's don't end up with a super negative experience to go along with it. d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation? I would jail the Person RDMing, and continue with my sit. If there are any other staff members online, I would alert them to the situation and let them handle. When my sit has concluded, I would try to handle the crowd that had inevitably grown due to them being jailed, and ban them for 2 weeks (or put in a ban request if I were TMOD, or if they were using some sort of aimbot / bhop / walls etc). d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets. I would let them know that that is against the server rules, and advise them to buy a large house in Industrial, or the house with the backyard in Suburbs. Another solution would be for them to go to the Hobo class, allowing them to build on the sidewalks and parking areas. This gives a little more wiggleroom to build, and encourage to read through the MOTD. If they refuse both, I would advise them to a Sandbox server. If they continue to refuse, I would have to remove their props, and kick them if necessary. If they continue to come back and break rules, I may issue a ban.
