In regards to Garry's Mod DarkRP I have been high level management on Hyplex which was the first and the longest network I have been with. I stayed with them for around 2-3 years and was it where I spent most of my time learning from other very experienced staff members skills like community management, de-escalation skills and personal skills on how to hold my own in a sit with toxic players and be as unbiased as I can possibly be. One of my favorite skills that I learnt was my people skills more specifically training a lot of staff members to become the best that they can possibly be. I have been entry level management on 2 other servers which the names of them escape me as I have been playing gmod for years and years and years. If needed to I can try my best to find out which servers they were if they are still online.

 

I am unsure whether you would find this relevant or not but these are experience from other games which I can imagine the skills will be universal.

I am a coowner of a network called Perkelle that I have been running with my friend for over 6 years that is currently focused on minecraft but will be expanding to rust in the near future.

I have been an administrator of multiple CS:GO community servers.

I have moderated multiple different ARMA 3 servers also.

Please answer these questions with your honest opinion.
b1) Why do you want to volunteer for XenoRP?

I would love to volunteer for this server because it has a really good set of staff already here also the devs really know their lua because I really like the custom unique features to the server e.g. the bitcoin miners and custom cars.

I think that my input can make the server a better place than it already is, I am in quite a specific timezone in the quieter times of the server and there are either no or little staff on and honestly the more good members of staff the better as it lightens the load of tickets off all the current staff's shoulders. With all of my lengthy previous history with being management on servers I think that there will be (obviously not including the custom stuff) little to no training needed if you decide to hire me on as I have been on many different servers with many different administrative mods.

I think also with me having no warns or bans to my name and being quite well known with a lot of people that player on the same timezone as me it is quite apparent that and very good at fitting into different communities and adjusting to their rules if they are slightly different.

b2) If you were to get accepted, what do you think would make you a good moderator?

I am very dependable to moderate the server even when I have done all that is expected of me. For example I hear mods have to do 50 reports a week I would complete all those then dedicate the rest of my week with half to my own RP and half to the reports unless there are no other staff on and I would be on duty 24/7 while i'm RPing.

I work as a store supervisor at a 9-5 job at a UK game/dvd/hardware company called CeX so with my hours being specific I am pretty dependent on being consistently active on the network

Please provide descriptive answers for the following questions:

c1) Define RDM/RDA and describe how players who perform those actions should be punished.

RDM is when someone kills someone with no RP reason to do so. For example if someone walked up to you and said "hey watch this" then proceeded to shoot you in the teeth that is RDM

RDA is when someone arrests someone for no RP reason to do so.. For 

c2) Explain "NLR" and provide examples of instances in which it is violated.

NLR means the same thing but can be defined by different instances. For example if you go back to your base after you die from a raid before they advert over that is NLR.

If you remember someone doing something and then you die and go and kill them for something you did before you died that is NLR.

NLR timer on the server is 120 seconds but a base raid is excempt from that timer and you have to wait for them to finish.

c3) Define "metagame" and provide examples of its occurrence.

Meta gaming is when you give out RP information through other means of RP (i.e. discord, OOC etc etc.) with the intent of giving it to someone to use in an RP situation.

It is also if you are on the receiving end and you are told by a friend that someone just killed you and you are around the corner and have no in game knowledge and kill that person.

Please explain how you would handle each of these situations:
d1) You see a higher up is abusing their powers to the highest severity, how do you react?

Since it would be staff's word against staff's word (if there is nothing in the logs) I would get evidence of them doing it and then confront the staff member if they are actively still abusing and it is affecting players in that moment in a closed off private admin area where no players can hear then provide evidence DIRECTLY to THEIR higher up staff member.

If they aren't affecting players in that moment I would just give the evidence to their higher up since there is no need for a confrontation.

d2) During a sit, you see someone outside of the sit Mass RDMing. How do you handle the situation?

First thing I would do is JailTP them to myself in my sit then ask them if they have a quick explanation for killing the people depending on how quick it is to resolve I would resolve that first then continue to my other sit.

If they didn't have a valid reason and start mic spamming I would leave them jailed and mute them and carry on with my sit as I would provide my attention to players with intent to RP rather than someone with no intent. If the person leaves while I am helping that sit I would copy their steamID into a notepad. After my sit has finished I would then put my attention to the MassRDMer

d3) Only two other players are online, and they're building in the streets.

The rules are there for a reason regardless of how many players are on. I would tell them that they shouldn't be building in the streets regardless if they are both fine with it as another player may connect to the server and be confused and immediately think the server was a bad one to join. I would then suggest better places for them to build at as a "hey you can't build here but you can try over here instead" instead of "hey you can't build there stop that"

Hi Lewis, thank you for applying!

Your application looks very good and looks like a lot of effort has been put into it. 

However, this does contradict my interaction with you the other day. Someone had complained about your base and I checked it out. A few things were wrong and I told you the problems. Instead of listening right away it continued to be a problem for at least 15 minutes. So i do not know what to go off of hear. You did eventually change it after Iots of discussion. (Note for other staff, it was never hostile, just peaceful disagreement)

I think I am willing to give you a shot, but I think you should further familiarize yourself with the rules, and most importantly listen to staff.
